Optimizing Diesel Production Using Advanced Process Control and Dynamic Simul...Márcio Garcia
This paper describes the economical and operational benefits achieved with the
use of advanced process control techniques and dynamic simulation applied to a Naphtha Splitter Column. The project consists in optimizing the Diesel blending system of Henrique Lage Renery (REVAP) located in the state of S~ao Paulo, Brazil. The control strategy was designed to maximize production rate, respecting the operational constraints. The results include an increase in the Naphtha flow stream to the Diesel blending system and improvement of the operational stability, leading to valuable economic gains. The project is also a step forward in the use of Dynamic simulation for modelling and identication, where the simulation models have shown to be representative for the inferential variables integration, adding value to the final result.

Thermal dispersion mass flow transmitters measure mass flow by detecting heat dissipation from a heated surface. The sensor contains two mass balanced elements with precision matched RTDs. The reference sensor measures the process temperature (up to +400° F [+200° C]); the second RTD measures the temperature of the heated sensor. The power to the heater is varied to maintain a constant temperature difference above the reference temperature.
There is an inherent non-linear relationship between power and mass flow. A microprocessor compares the power against the calibration curve and converts the power requirements to the mass flow rate. Temperature is also measured to provide temperature compensation of the mass flow over the operating range of the instrument.

Using recycled concrete aggregates (RCA) for pavements is crucial to achieving sustainability. Implementing RCA for new pavement can minimize carbon footprint, conserve natural resources, reduce harmful emissions, and lower life cycle costs. Compared to natural aggregate (NA), RCA pavement has fewer comprehensive studies and sustainability assessments.
Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

In today’s fast-changing business environment, it’s extremely important to be able to respond to client needs in the most effective and timely manner. If your customers wish to see your business online and have instant access to your products or services.
Online Grocery Store is an e-commerce website, which retails various grocery products. This project allows viewing various products available enables registered users to purchase desired products instantly using Paytm, UPI payment processor (Instant Pay) and also can place order by using Cash on Delivery (Pay Later) option. This project provides an easy access to Administrators and Managers to view orders placed using Pay Later and Instant Pay options.
In order to develop an e-commerce website, a number of Technologies must be studied and understood. These include multi-tiered architecture, server and client-side scripting techniques, implementation technologies, programming language (such as PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and MySQL relational databases. This is a project with the objective to develop a basic website where a consumer is provided with a shopping cart website and also to know about the technologies used to develop such a website.
This document will discuss each of the underlying technologies to create and implement an e- commerce website.
Immunizing Image Classifiers Against Localized Adversary Attacksgerogepatton
This paper addresses the vulnerability of deep learning models, particularly convolutional neural networks
(CNN)s, to adversarial attacks and presents a proactive training technique designed to counter them. We
introduce a novel volumization algorithm, which transforms 2D images into 3D volumetric representations.
When combined with 3D convolution and deep curriculum learning optimization (CLO), itsignificantly improves
the immunity of models against localized universal attacks by up to 40%. We evaluate our proposed approach
using contemporary CNN architectures and the modified Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR-10
and CIFAR-100) and ImageNet Large Scale Visual Recognition Challenge (ILSVRC12) datasets, showcasing
accuracy improvements over previous techniques. The results indicate that the combination of the volumetric
input and curriculum learning holds significant promise for mitigating adversarial attacks without necessitating
adversary training.

DESCRIPTION
The Model 3900 Low Humidity Generator is an extremely
accurate means of producing known humidity values
for calibrating and verifying humidity instrumentation.
Based on the combined, NIST proven, fundamental “two-
pressure” and “two-temperature” principles, this system
ZLOO DXWRPDWLFDOO VXSSO D FRQWLQXRXV KXPLGL¿HG JDV
stream, within the frost/dew point range of -95.0 °C to
10.0 °C, for days or even weeks unattended.
Simply apply power to the system, and the 3900 will
powerup ready to purge and/or generate. Humidity setpoint
values are input by the operator from the front panel keypad
and are limited only by the operational range of the 3900
humidity generator.
PRINCIPLE OF OPERATION
The “two-pressure two-temperature” generation process
involves saturating a continuous stream of air or nitrogen
with water vapor at a known temperature and pressure.
The saturated high pressure air then passes through an
expansion valve where it expands to a lower pressure. The
3900 JHQHUDWHV D SDUWLFXODU KXPLGLW E ¿UVW VHOHFWLQJ D
suitable saturation temperature, Ts
. It then determines the
saturation pressure, Ps
, required to establish the correct
saturation vapor pressure. The precision of the system is
determined by the accuracy of the temperature and pressure
measurements and on the constancy of them throughout.
When setpoint equilibration has been reached, the
indication of saturation temperature, saturation pressure,
test temperature, and test pressure may be used in the
determination of all hygrometric parameters. Furthermore,
because the humidity generated is based solely on the
fundamental principles of temperature and pressure, no
humidity sensing is used to measure or control the amount
of water vapor produced by this system.
The 3900 operates using an on-board multifunction CPU in
conjunctionwithotherperipheralcardstoperformcalculation
and control functions. The embedded computer control
system allows the 3900 to generate known humidity levels
completely unattended with visual indications of system
status displayed in real time on the Liquid Crystal Display.
This frees the operating technician from the task of system
monitoring and adjustment. A computer and/or printer
may be connected via the bi-directional RS-232C interface
ports allowing remote setpoint control and continuous
system data retrieval.
