PROPOSED COURSE CONTENT
INTRODUCTION
UiTM would like to invite all Accountants,
Auditors, Financial Controllers, Finance
Managers and Academicians to take part in
understanding the MFRS through a technical
approach of these Standards. The MFRS Seminar
comprises new and revised Standards as issued
by IASB. It is hoped that this seminar will benefit,
not only for practitioners but to everyone involve
in accounting field.
SPEAKER PROFILE
Ms Lim Geok Heng is a FCCA (UK). CA (M) and
Certified Professional Trainer of IPMA (UK). Ms
Lim was the Chairman of the ACCA-FRS
(Financial Reporting Standards) Committee
(2006-2007) and also a Panel Member in the
NACRA (National Annual Corporate Report
Award) adjudication board.
She has more than 20 years working experience
in areas comprising auditing, financial
accounting, treasury functions, education and
training. She was appointed as Chief Technical
and Training Officer of Horwath (medium sized
accounting firm), Training Manager of Ernst &
Young, Lecturer in Sunway College and Senior
Lecturer in Tunku Abdul Rahman University
College.
Currently, she is a freelance technical and
training consultant: speaks on Financial
Reporting Standards (FRSs), and accounting and
audit issues regularly and extensively throughout
Malaysia for professional accounting bodies such
as MIA, ACCA, MAICSA, CIMA and CPA Australia.
In addition, she also conducts technical in-house
training on accounting issues for commercial and
listed companies, private training institutions in
both Malaysia and Singapore.
Ms Lim co-authored the loose-leaf manual titled
“Malaysian Private Entity Reporting Standards”
published by CCH (Commerce Clearing House)
Asia Pte Ltd that is a member of the Wolters
Kluwer group.

PROPOSED COURSE CONTENT INTRODUCTION UiTM would like to invite all Accountants, Auditors, Financial Controllers, Finance Managers and Academicians to take part in understanding the MFRS through a technical approach of these Standards. The MFRS Seminar comprises new and revised Standards as issued by IASB. It is hoped that this seminar will benefit, not only for practitioners but to everyone involve in accounting field. SPEAKER PROFILE Ms Lim Geok Heng is a FCCA (UK). CA (M) and Certified Professional Trainer of IPMA (UK). Ms Lim was the Chairman of the ACCA-FRS (Financial Reporting Standards) Committee (2006-2007) and also a Panel Member in the NACRA (National Annual Corporate Report Award) adjudication board. She has more than 20 years working experience in areas comprising auditing, financial accounting, treasury functions, education and training. She was appointed as Chief Technical and Training Officer of Horwath (medium sized accounting firm), Training Manager of Ernst & Young, Lecturer in Sunway College and Senior Lecturer in Tunku Abdul Rahman University College. Currently, she is a freelance technical and training consultant: speaks on Financial Reporting Standards (FRSs), and accounting and audit issues regularly and extensively throughout Malaysia for professional accounting bodies such as MIA, ACCA, MAICSA, CIMA and CPA Australia. In addition, she also conducts technical in-house training on accounting issues for commercial and listed companies, private training institutions in both Malaysia and Singapore. Ms Lim co-authored the loose-leaf manual titled “Malaysian Private Entity Reporting Standards” published by CCH (Commerce Clearing House) Asia Pte Ltd that is a member of the Wolters Kluwer group.
