3. THE TYPES OF CLASSIFICATIONS
• U: Suitable for all ages
• PG: Parental guidance may be necessary for younger viewers
• 12A and 12: Contains content that may not be suitable for those under the age of 12. Anyone under the
age of 12 cannot watch this movie unless accompanied by an adult.
• 15: No one younger then 15 can see the movie. No one under 15 can rent or buy a 15 movie.
• 18: No one under the age of 18 can see an 18 film in cinema. No one under the age of 18 can rent or
buy an 18 rated video.
• R18: Only shown is specifically licensed cinemas. Adults only.

5. OUR CLASSIFICATION
• For our movie we are planning to make a content mature
and for older audiences. Therefore we are planning on
making our movie 18, for adults. This is best for the target
audience we are going for because horror movies involve
certain themes and techniques that are not suitable for
younger audiences.
