I BRICS is an International Political Organization Of Leading Emerging Economies.
Jim O'Neill, chairman of Goldman Sachs Asset Management, coined the BRI C concept in 2001.
1st inaugural Summit took place in Yekaterinburg, Russia on June 16, 2009 by 4 countries namely Brazil,
Russia, India and China.
 With the entrance of South Africa , at the 3rd BRIC's Summit, in April 2011, the BRI C became BRI
CS, with capital "S".
South Africa stands at a unique position to influence African economic growth and investment.
Currently the forum is working on building partnerships and collaborating with member state institutions.
