Boudica was queen of the Iceni people in Norfolk, England who rebelled against Roman rule after her husband's kingdom was taken over by Romans against his wishes. The Romans disrespected Boudica by flogging her and raping her two daughters, which led Boudica to join forces with another tribe and attack the Romans, defeating them at Colchester. However, Boudica and her allies were ultimately defeated by a larger Roman army near London, and after surviving the battle, Boudica and her two daughters poisoned themselves rather than be captured.
