The botanical website for the school grounds documents each plant species found on site with a description and photograph. It aims to add distribution charts to allow for future comparisons. The school grounds contain a variety of habitats including lawns, woodlands, and a unique meadow habitat ideal for orchid growth. A botanical study has identified 193 plant species so far, showing the grounds to be an unusually rich urban environment. The school works with external groups to record, monitor and protect this biodiversity as an educational resource.
