John 3:1-5. A New Life In Christ. In the new life we have been born again. In the new life we are a new creation. In the new life we crucify the flesh with its passions and desires. In the new life we are transformed by the renewing of our minds. In the new life we are renewed by the Holy Spirit. In the new life we are dead to sin but alive to God. In the new life we are washed from our sins. in the new life we put to death the old man and put on the new man. In the new life we died and our life is hidden with Christ in God. In the new life we were brought back from death in sin.
“Being used by God
is not confined to pastors, preachers or teachers. Anybody can be an instrument

Shadows in the Tabernacle - the priesthood old and newAlan Williamson
Hebrews 9:8-11 the Holy Spirit this signifying, that the way into the holy place hath not yet been made manifest, while the first tabernacle is yet standing; 9 which is a figure for the time present; according to which are offered both gifts and sacrifices that cannot, as touching the conscience, make the worshipper perfect, 10 being only (with meats and drinks and divers washings) carnal ordinances, imposed until a time of reformation. 11 But Christ having come a high priest of the good things to come, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation,
Vision of Jesus as Our High Priest With His Golden Water Basin and Towel of R...Sister Lara
This is a vision that the Holy Spirit gave to me during a time of prayer agreement with a sister in our Lord, I have never seen. I only talked to her over the phone. My prayer life will never be the same, as I saw the beauty of Jesus dressed as our High Priest.
Today's SS lesson, "Living As Strangers". We Christians are to be in the world, looking to love and point people to God's grace by our examples and our genuine good deeds. We first must reject falseness (the old life) in our own lives, then we will be free to be Jesus servants by others
Based on "Biblical Worldview: Creation, Fall, Redemption" by Dr. Mark L. Ward, et. al., this lesson examines God's motivation for creation: Love. God's goal is to glorify Himself in His creation. It examines the major views of how God relates to His creation and reminds us that God needs nothing from us.
Last Sunday's lesson, 1 Peter 1"b" with a bit of review on "a". By way of opening illustration, I was friends with a Golden Gloves state champion, amazingly talented at age 16, who I sparred with just one time. One punch, even just a slight jab on his part, was enough to retire me from any fantasies of being a boxer! I'm sure Peter felt infinitely more so about Jesus Christ, just as did the other apostles who knew His Life Death and Resurrection. God Bless!
slides that accompany a sermon with a football theme. This sermon is one in a series on discipleship. It tells what it takes to be a disciple of Jesus.

Renewed in Grace
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

4. Didn’t know what to
think about Jesus
•Impressed by miracles
•Must be “from God”
•Calls Jesus Rabbi
•Comes to Jesus “at night”
•Comes alone, but
represents others
•See Jesus as a possible
Messiah/King
5. Jesus speaks
(John 3:3)
• Before Nicodemus gets to say what
he wants
• Main message: You must be born
again! (vv. 3,7)
• You don’t understand God’s plan or
why I came.
• Your religion is not enough to save
you.
• You must be born again (from
above)
8. Jesus describes the
“lost” person
•They are flesh (v. 6)
•There is nothing good
in them apart from God
•Their behavior is
wicked
•They are dead (v. 6)
•Spiritually lifeless
9. Jesus describes the
“lost” person
•Their religious
efforts are useless
works of the flesh
•There is a
difference between
religion and being
born again
10. Where does this
leave us? (vs. 8)
•We don’t control salvation;
God’s spirit does!
•We are at the mercy of a
sovereign God who saves
whomever he chooses
through His Word and
Spirit.
11. We need to examine our
own hearts to see if we
are born again.
• Romans 8:7 Are you controlled by our
flesh or the Holy Spirit?
• 1 Cor. 12:3 Do you honor the name of
Jesus and treat Him as your Lord and
Master?
• Romans 8:15-16 Do you have a childlike
love for and trust in God?
• 1 Cor. 2:14 Are you attracted to
spiritual things and hungry for Bible
truth?
• 1 John 4:7 Do you love others more
than self?
12. We need to humble
ourselves and
acknowledge our
helplessness and
hopelessness apart
from Jesus and the
life-giving Spirit.
13. We need to be
desperate for the
Spirit to be at work
in us.
