management, we are more convinced than ever about the importance of this area
of financial management for our students.
 These feelings are confirmed by the increasing number of business schools
offering course work in this are, by continued discussions with corporate
practitioners, and by surved indicating the amount of time that financial manager
spend in this area.

4.  Over the years we have taught short-term financial management as separate
course or as topic within other finance courses and have found that both
undergraduate and MBA interest in this subject continues to grow.
 Numerous colleges and universities, including our own, have Split the upper-level
financial management curriculum into two courses, one of which is titled Working
Capital Management, Short-Term Financial Management , or Financial
Management II.

included several cases and appendices that are especially attractive to upper-level
undergraduate and MBA courses.

prerequisite.
