 First part: To introduce the topic of your talk (Start with a question to the audience / Start with a short story / Start
with an object or an image that represents something related to the talk)
 Second part: Starting the presentation (First of all, I'll... / Secondly... / Then... / Next... / Finally,...) / Giving
examples / Introducing a visual (This represents.../ Have a look at... / This shows...)
 Conclusion: (To finish..., To sum up,..., In conclusion,..., I'd like..., As someone said...(famous quote), Finally, I'd like to finish
my talk saying that...)
 Thanking: (Thanks for listening / Thank you for your attention)
 Questions: ((Now, we have some minutes for your questions /Any questions? / Now, feel free to ask questions)
3. TALK GUIDELINES
✗ Read your talk loudly, clearly and slowly in front of the mirror
✗ Acting in front of your friends or parents (a fictitious audience)
✗ Recording and analyzing your strengths and weaknesses
✗ Eye contact
✗ Use pauses
✗ Don't read out every word written on your slides (tell)
✗ Don't speak fast
✗ Appropiate intonation
✗ Expressiveness and appropriate gestures
✗ Changes of tone (Never flat tone!)
✗ Don't turn your back on the audience (or talk to the screen)
