- Thank you for having me tonightI know that there is a lot of experience and talent in this room and I am honored to be standing before you talking about modern quilting. I’m excited to share my love of modern quilting with you. As you listen please remember that there are many things that make a quilt modern andI am by no means an expert on modern quilting or quilting in generalAnd I also want to emphasize that this is just one type of quilting – no better than other types.But before I begin, I want to apologize up front – I am not a skilled presenter. In fact my natural inclination is to be the person in the very back corner – definitely not the one standing up front doing the talking!
