This document discusses the need for diversity and inclusion in higher education, particularly within STEM disciplines. It notes that while underrepresented groups make up nearly half of all college students, only about a quarter of faculty are from these groups. The goal is to illuminate this lack of diversity for educators and provide solutions from a biblical perspective. Some strategies discussed include revising admissions processes, expanding reserved slots, providing diversity training for faculty, and incorporating appropriate technology to engage students. The document emphasizes that acknowledging diversity issues is not enough - institutions must implement real changes to eliminate the isolated experience often faced by underrepresented learners.

Product positioning refers to activities undertaken by marketers to create and maintain value for their brand in customers' minds compared to competitors. Successful positioning has clarity on value proposition, consistency in quality and performance, and credibility/trustworthiness. For market leaders, reinforcing their first-mover advantage or introducing new brands to changing needs works. For followers, identifying unoccupied positions allows being first in customers' minds. Repositioning includes changing a product's image, modifying it for changing customer needs, targeting different market segments with the same product, or changing both product and target market. Pitfalls include under positioning by diluting ideas, over positioning by promoting an unrealistic image, confused positioning by changing strategies too much, doubtful positioning by promoting

Unlike MAX VG e Juice, 100% VG E liquid contains no PG at all. Typically electronic cigarette liquid consists of 3 core ingredients. These are PG (Propylene Glycol), VG (Vegetable Glycerin) and Flavourings. In a typical 10 ml bottle of vape juice, there can be anything from 10 to 25% flavourings. The rest is a mix of PG and VG. If the mix consists of VG alone, the result will be typically labelled as VG eliquid or Max VG. This however is not necessarily 100% VG. If you go for a nose filter then you need to be sure to
keep your mouth closed. The First Defense Really
keeps stuff out and your nose moist in a good way, but
looks kind of funny.

12. Travel - Car Nice new air filter - if taking own car.
take a new air (filter) for your car to replace the one full
of playa dust as soon as you get off the playa and can
stop somewhere safe. It could add lots of miles to your
engine and probably lots of miles per gallon.

people driving to and from with out enought sleep.

busted on the Playa and law enforcement asks where
your camp is, you forgot or respond, "Do you have a

search.

Lots of great details here people!
Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
Everything that can happen in normal life
can happen at Burning Man. This includes
being arrested, taking drugs is illegal,
theft, rape, assault, and even death.
Some of the worst accidents happen to and from the
Burn, so get rest and drive carefully!
Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
Burners have all kinds of humor &
personalities. Walk your own line, dont
take it personaly, and enjoy the varity if
you can! See Radical Self-expression in
the Ten Principles of Burning Man.
http://movieclips.
com/HsqwB-
adaptation-movie-you-
are-what-you-love/
Just because someone goes to Burning Man, do not
assume they are automaticaly; nice, friendly, loving,
etc. You will encounter all kind including people
being/acting in all manors including Snarky, Rude,
Sarcastic, etc.
Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
If you have lost someone over the year, or
have some baggage you need to get rid
of, bring something that represents your
struggle and put it in the temple to burn on
Sunday night.
It can be a great gift to see if anyone you know who
isn't going, needs to bring anything to the temple on
their behalf too.
Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
Take everything out of the packaging so
that you won't be carrying out tons of
extra garbage
Label with sharpie if needed
Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
Make sure to leave room in your vehicle
to carry out your trash! Pack it in, Pack it
out!
Try to take an extra bag or two of someone who left it
behind... Sad but true, a lot of people leave bags of
trash in the city for the Organization to pick up.... Be a
good Citizen!
Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
Lock your car when you are not in it... and
close the windows
I have walked by car with windows wide open and
valuable belongings (purses, wallets, etc) withing arms
reach. Some people steel on the playa just like the rest
of the world so play it safe!
Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
Keep car key in one place and notify
others traveling with you of location
Stuff goes everywhere...keep that car key in a safe
place and don't move it!

14. Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
Come with an open mind and open heart.
Let go of any sort of agenda or
expectations, you will be right where you
need to be.
Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
You don't always get the burn you want,
you get the burn you need.
Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
Whatever is natural for you, that's the type
of burn you will have... i.e. into sex stuff -
then you'll find it, not your thing - then you
wont see lots of it.
Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
Let yourself have the emotional release it
needs.
Every burn I have some sort of emotional 'Break down'
in the first couple of days - I have learned it's part of
the transition and I embrace it. Everyone I know
experiences the same thing so it might happen to you
as well.
Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
BE GENTLE WITH YOURSELF AND
OTHERS especially at the end of the
event. Don't take it personally & take the
time to say the extra niceties!
Everyone will be exhausted emotionally and physically!
Fuses run short people say and or do things from a
stressed place. Don't take it personally, remember they
are having a hard time, and if you can comfort them.
Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
Let others know if you are having a hard
time & ask for what you need
Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
At sunset take a moment and howl as it
disappears behind the mountains!
Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
Anything you have ever been scared to
do... give it a try (as long as it does not
inflict pain or harm on anyone else).
Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
Ask to take some one's picture.
Not just people who are nude but anyone you are
focusing on.
Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
Not everyone has a playa romance!
After may burns, I have never had one. Others do
every year, it's different for everyone.
Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
If you take federally illegal drugs - Don't
take or give drugs to, from or around
strangers. Assume everyone (you or a
close friends doesn't personally know
well, aka beyond burning man) that offers
or asks for Drugs has the potential to be
an undercover cop or a snitch for the
cops.
http://www.iwu.
edu/ccs/Federal_Drug_Laws.htm
Your states law's about Cannabis do not apply at
Burning Man!!!!
They have sting operations and will do entrapment.
You are on federal land!
A swap of something that is re-payed with a drug (even
Cannabis) is a TRANSACTION!
Best Practices &
Lesson's Learned
Be awesome to Porta Potty Cleaning
Crews (body stuff only & thank them for
cleaning up our shit)
Only Single-ply toilet paper in Porto's - One year a
worker got his neck cut open by something sharp that
cut though the vacuum tube... that's right raw sewage
in directly into his neck. Also think to give them a cold
beverage or some other gift to say thanks for dealing
with all of our shit (pun intended)!
**NOTE: I AM NOT ANY KIND OF OFFICIAL REPRESENTATIVE OF BURNING MAN. I am merely a Participant with a passion for the event, people, and principles of Burning Man. Recomendations,
ideas & views expressed are independent of those of the Burning Man organization.**
This excessively detail list is compiled from multiple Burner's lists accumulated over the past 18 years (I started from a couple of friends lists who started going in the mid 1990's then added my own 8 years
of experience and suggestions from others). What one person needs another does not, so all of this is included so you can make your own decision what to bring & cross out what you don't. The food and
clothing section is fairly minimal because everyone has different tastes.
