This document discusses the Blue Brain project, which aims to create the first virtual brain known as Blue Brain. It outlines how the Blue Brain would function similarly to a human brain by taking inputs, processing information, storing memories, and producing outputs. The document also explains that the goal of the Blue Brain project is to upload a human brain's contents by using nanobots to scan brain structures and connections and inputting that data into a powerful supercomputer. Finally, it discusses both the advantages and applications of the Blue Brain, such as remembering things without effort and potentially understanding and treating neurological diseases, as well as some of the disadvantages like becoming dependent on computers.
With the advancement in technology, human, the ultimate source of information and discovery should
also be preserved. In other words, human is does not live for thousands of years but the information in his mind
could be saved and used for several thousands of years. The technology helpful in this activity is Blue Brain.

In this video I (Tavleen Mehendiratta) look at things that are really going to make cities and cars smarter. I also look Internet of Things and how that is penetrating into our cities. Imagine 50 billion devices are waiting to get to the internet.
As our governments look at making smart cities, I look at what they may really mean to us.
Currently our cities are congested with traffic, so what can prevent cities from having a colossal heart attack? I explore how technologies will embed themselves not just in cars but also in infrastructure. Cars will be rolling data centres, generating huge amount of data on pretty much everything!
Cars of future would be equipped to negotiate their ways out of jams. But when cities and cars get smart would people get dumb?
We look at psychologist, Don Norman and sociologist, Saskia Sassen's view point as well.

Blue brain enables humans to give new dimensions to science and technology and make enormous development in making the best possible enlightenment to the present scenario.the details can be seen by going though the power point presentation
The Blue Brain Project is an attempt to reverse engineer the human brain and recreate it at the cellular level inside a computer simulation. The project was founded in May 2005 by Henry Markram at the EPFL in Lausanne, Switzerland. Goals of the project are to gain a complete understanding of the brain and to enable better and faster development of brain disease treatments.
Blue brain –The name of the world’s first virtual brain. That means a machine that can function as human brain. Today scientists are in research to create an artificial brain that can think, response, take decision, and keep anything in memory. The main aim is to upload human brain into machine. So that man can think, take decision without any effort. After the death of the body, the virtual brain will act as the man .So, even after the death of a person we will not loose the knowledge, intelligence, personalities, feelings and memories of that man that can be used for the development of the human society. No one has ever understood the complexity of human brain. It is complex than any circuitry in the world. So, question may arise “Is it really possible to create a human brain?” The answer is “Yes”. Because what ever man has created today always he has followed the nature. When man does not have a device called computer, it was a big question for all .But today it is possible due to the technology. Technology is growing faster than everything. IBM is now in research to create a virtual brain. It is called Blue brain. If possible, this would be the first virtual brain of the world.
The aim of Blue Brain is to establish simulation neuroscience as a complementary approach alongside experimental, theoretical and clinical neuroscience to understanding the brain, by building the world’s first biologically detailed digital reconstructions and simulations of the mouse brain.
The supercomputer-based simulations and reconstructions built by Blue Brain offer a radically new approach for understanding the multi-level structure and function of the brain.
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.

3. Human brain, the most valuable creation of
God. The man is called intelligent because of the
brain.
But we loss the knowledge of a brain when the body
is destroyed after the death .
To prevent loss of knowledge even after death we
need blue brain.
“BLUE BRAIN”- The name of the world’s first virtual
brain. That means a machine thatcan function as
human brain.
4. Is it really possible to create a human brain?
The Answer is “YES”.
The IBM is now developing a virtual brain
known as the BLUE BRAIN.
It would be the worlds first virtual brain.
5. A machine that can function as brain .
It can take decision.
It can think.
It can response.
It can keep things in memory.
It also has feelings and emotions.
6. To upload contents of the natural brain into it.
To keep the intelligence , knowledge and skill of
any person for ever .
To remember things without any effort .
7. IBM’s blue brain project will search for insights
into how human beings think and remember.
Scientists think that blue brain could also help
to cure the Parkinson's disease.
The brain circuitry is in a complex state of flux,
the brain rewiring itself every moment of its
existence. If the scientists can crack open the
secret of how and why the brain does it, the
knowledge could lead to new breed of
supercomputers.
8. INPUT

10. A Super Computer..
Memory with a very large storing capacity.
Proccessor of high processing power…
A very wide Network..
A program to convert the electric impulses from the
brain to input signal, which is to be received by the
computer and vice versa.
Very powerful Nanobots to act as the interface between
the natural brain and the computer.
11.
12. The uploading is possible by the use of small robots
known as the nanobots.
These robots are small enough to travel through out
our circulatory system.
Traveling into the spine and brain, they will be able
to monitor the activity and structure of our central
nervous system.
They will be able to provide an interface with
computer while we still reside in our biological form
.
13. Nanobots could also carefully scan the
structure of our brain, providing a complete
readout of the connection.
This information, when entered into a
computer, could then continue to function as
us.
Thus the data stored in the entire brain will
be uploaded into the computer.
14.
15. Blue Brain will reveal many existing aspects
of the brain circuits ,memory capacity , and
how memories are lost.
The modelling is also able to work out best
way to compensate and repair error circuits.
The blue brain model can be used to detect
and test treatment strategies for neurological
diseases.
16. Remembering things without any effort.
Making decision without the presence of a
person.
Using intelligence of a person after the death.
Understanding the activities of animals.
Allowing the deaf to hear via nerve
stimulations
17. We become dependent upon the computer.
Others may use technical knowledge against us.
It is a very costly procedure.
18. Gathering and Testing 100 Years of Data
Cracking the Neural Code
A Foundation for Molecular Modeling of Brain
Function
Understanding Neocortical Information Processing
A Novel Tool for Drug Discovery for Brain Disorders
A Global Facility
A Foundation for Whole Brain Simulations
19. Very soon this technology will be highly accepted
whole over the world but wisdom lies in right use.
We will be able to transfer ourselves into computers at
some point.
Within 30 years, we will be able to scan ourselves
into the computers.
Further in the future, the real dreams
would be the realization of the
“brain-in-computer” and
“chip-in-brain” arrangement.
