• The man is called intelligent because of the
Brain
• The technology helpful in this activity is Blue
Brain
• VIRTUAL BRAIN- That means a machine that
can function as human brain
• Main Aim :to upload human brain into machine
A machine that can function as brain and that will recreate
the high-speed electro-chemical interactions that take place
within the brain’s interior.
To upload contents of the natural brain into it.
To keep the intelligence, knowledge and skill of any person for
ever.
To remember things without any effort.
To store the data securely and retrieve it whenever needed.
The brain and intelligence will be alive even after the death.
Virtual Machine can produce the better solution to human
problem.

 Blue Brain Software Kit
 Works on collecting various sections of the brain, using the microscope and
measuring the electrical behavior and physical shape of neurons
 Using reverse engineering
Palak Chaubey
2019
 present the full study work that explains the blue brain idea and working
model and the latest process study and developments.
Divya P Bhadrapur
2018
 Visualization using RT Neuron
 3D Atlas of Blue Brain achieved by BBP
Remya Vinaykumar
2016
 Concept of artificial neural network, fuzzy logic and the wetware
technology is being used in the creation of the blue brain.
Meet Gidwani
2015
 Using the Neuron Software
 Reverse engineer the human brain and reform it at molecular level inside a
computer simulation.
Human Brain simulation is not yet possible because
today’s computers are not powerful enough .The human
brain is made up of 100 billion neurons, which creates
around 100 thousand synapses. The brain’s memory
storage capacity is closer to around 2.5 petabytes (or a
million gigabytes).
Digital reconstruction and simulation of human brain
NATURAL BRAIN VIRTUAL BRAIN
INPUT:
Through the natural neurons. Through the silicon chip in the
nanobots
INTERPRETATION:
By different states of the neurons in
the brain
By a set of bits in the set of
registers
OUTPUT:
Through the natural neurons Through Secondary memory
registers.
MEMORY:
Through permanent states of
neurons.
Through Secondary memory
PROCESSING:
DATA
COLLECTION
DATA
SIMULATION VISUALIZATION
The uploading is possible by the use of small
robots known as the nanobots
Traveling into the spine and brain, they will be
able to monitor the activity and structure of our
central nervous system.
Nanobots will carefully scan the structure of our
brain
They will be able to provide an interface with
computer that is as close as our mind can be
while we still reside in our biological form
 A Super computer.
 Processor with a very high processing power.
 Micro circuit
 A program to convert the electric impulses from the brain to input signal,
which is to be received by the computer and vice versa.
 Very powerful Nanobots to act as the interface between the natural brain
and the computer.
 4096 quad-core nodes (16,384 cores in tota
 Each core is a PowerPC 450, 850 MHz
 Total: 56 teraflops, 16 terabytes of memory
 1 PB of disk space, GPFS parallel file system
A visual representation of a mammalian
neocortical column.
The visualization is part of IBM's Blue Gene
supercomputer project
The Blue Brain Cell Atlas is the first digital
3D cell atlas of the whole mouse brain.
 The Blue Brain Project is a Swiss brain research initiative BLUE BRAIN is
actually an IBM project
 The project is headed by the founding director Henry Markram
 In June 2005 the EPFL and IBM sign an agreement to launch the Blue Brain
project (BBP). [EPFL: École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne]
 2015: Blue Brain reaches a major milestone by successfully simulating the
rat neocortal column.
 2018:The first digital 3D atlas of every cell in the mouse brain
 2023:Aiming to simulate complete human brain.
It acts as a supercomputer.
Processing, speed and memory could make entire human
brain simulated.
Things could be remembered without any effort.
Use the intelligence of the person after death.
It can make decisions entirely of its own.
We become dependent upon the computers.
Human cloning.
A very costly procedure of regaining the memory back.
Large amount of memory and processing power to create
a virtual brain that could act as a natural.
 The blue brain project, if implemented successfully, would indeed change
many things around us and it will boost the area of research and
technology.
 With improvements in technology, the Blue Brain can be implemented in
future and transferring ourselves into computer would be possible.
 The intelligence of human brain will be stored even after the death for
betterment of society.
 This technology will be accepted all over the world widely very soon.

Editor's Notes

  1. The man is called intelligent because of the Brain, but we lose the knowledge of a brain when the body is destroyed after the death . Humans does not live for thousands of Years but the information in his mind could be saved and used for several thousands of years. the very first thought that comes to anyone who is not aware of this new technology is why is this called blue brain? why not choose some other color? The reason is the data is collected from different neuron types and the simulation among them is carried out on a blue gene super computer
  2. Means a machine that can function as human brain, so that it can think, and make decisions without the presence of a human body. Virtual brain may be a better solution for it
  3. Electron microscope provides a limited depth level for a brain cells studies and nano tech microscope outputs samples of brain tissue in mere few hours. In depth, simulation of a small area of a brain construct molecule by molecule has been created and has re-constructed various results from real brains. 2. RT NEURON”, which is helpful to learn the operation of neurons and synapses.
  4. Each neuron forms about 1,000 connections with other neurons, amounting to more than a trillion connections. Human brain is a highly organized system , Not even engineers have come close for making circuit boards and computers as delicate and precise as the nervous system hence digital reconstruction and simulation is possible Rat has similar structure to humans but contains 10k neurons as compared to humans 60k neurons, simulation needs a powerful supercomputer
  5.  low-power silicon chips that mimic the electrical activity of neurons.
  6. During this process small brain tissue is collected, the shape and electrical behaviour of the individual neuron is fetched with the help of microscope or patch clamping method data simulation is to create virtual cell using various algorithms that will describe and define the real neurons. “Blue brain project-software development kit” is a set of API, a C++ library wrapped up in python and java. This allows researchers to check virtual cell sample, use and simulate. “NEURON” is the primary software used for the neural simulations. #the human is been simulated depending upon the age, species, disease stage on the basis of which the algorithms are adapted. 3.The output from simulation is fetched by “rt neuron software” and deliver them in 3D.,which is helpful to learn the operation of neurons and synapses. RT NEURON is the application used by Blue Brain project for visualization of the neural simulations [2]. It is coded using in C++ and OpenGL by the BBP team internally . The data is collected from different neuron types and the simulation among them is carried out on a blue gene super computer
  7. These robots are small enough to travel through out our circulatory system providing a complete readout of the connections between each neuron. nanobots that can be injected using an ordinary hypodermic syringe, according to a new release Each robot has a 70-micron length, which is about the width of a thin human hair, and a million can be produced from a single 4-inch silicon composite wafer. Endomyccorhizae like interface
  8. Key points on blue gene supercomputer reach operating speeds in the petaFLOPS range low power consumption
  9. 1.The representation shows the part of the brain which has been modeled using a supercomputer 3.The atlas fills the gap of cell numbers for 96% of brain regions. It provides neuroscientists with a unique insight into the cellular composition of the mouse brain New data will be used to further improve both the next iteration of the Cell Atlas and its validation.
  10. that aims to create a digital reconstruction of rodent and eventually human brains by reverse-engineering mammalian brain circuitry. Started in 2005
  11. Man can become the addicted slave of this new technology and would also start exploiting it for its illegal use Technical knowledge can be used against us. People will start fearing new technologies as it is evident with respect to human cloning.
  12. The blue brain project, if implemented successfully, would indeed change many things around us .Hence, the whole idea is that mental illness, memory and perception triggered by neurons and electric signals could be soon treated with a supercomputer that models all the 1,000,000 million synapses of brain. Human brain is complex than any circuitry in the world. And we are able to scan ourselves in the computer in near future. The only serious threats raised are also overcome as we note the combination of biological and digital technologies. Despite all the problems and complexity faced in the implementation of this project, it is predicted that the project will be capable by the year 2023
