1. BLOT is the Basic Love Of Things - a collective of music producers,
film makers, artists and designers. We do AV performances in clubs
and festivals, and are also exploring fashion, photography,
publishing and films.
What kind of music and visuals does B.L.O.T play?
B.L.O.T. plays an eclectic mix of IDM electro, progressive and Electronica (EDM) - mashing it up with
samples, reworking bass lines, pushing it through filters, layered with live percussive sounds
synths and live, synchronized original video content. The visual material is an amalgamation of
classical cinema, obscure footage, art, professional photography, motion graphics original content
shot, edited produced by us. Its what we call a Live Cinema Experiment.
How does the Audio-Video collaboration happen live?
The way the audio and visuals relate to each other happens at several levels. The ideal of course
would be synaesthetic performances where the audio blends seamlessly with the video, light and
