This document summarizes an article about using blogs in science and technology libraries. It discusses the history and background of blogs, including how they emerged in the late 1990s and grew exponentially with the development of blogging software. The document performs a literature search that finds very little published on using subject-specific blogs in scientific publications. It then discusses potential applications of blogs in science and technology librarianship, such as for team project management, reference work, current awareness, and mentoring students.
