goodto both the environmentandeconomy.
There are betteroptions:
1. PromotingpoliciesthatsupportinnovationviaR&Dtax creditsandCost write-downsthat
supportthe circular economy.Carbontax pricingschemesare doingmore harmto household
costs andlocal economies.
2. The automotive sectorwasmovingtocleanerfuel before all the new governmentmandateson
electrical vehicle adoption.There are manychallengeswithelectrical vehicleincludingaccessto
raw materialslike lithiumandthe infrastructure requiredtosupportelectrical vehicleplug-in
3. Canada hasone of the cleanestgridsinthe world.Canadageneratesover80% of itspowerfrom
cleansources.More focusneedstobe on cleansourceslike hydro,moltensalt,andnuclearas
theycan handle the loadcapacity
4. Natural gas shouldplaya role as itburnscleanerthan othersourcesof power.
5. Agriculture willcontinuetoadoptexpertandvertical farmpracticesaspart of addressingissues
withfoodcostsand foodsecurity.All levelsof governmentneedtoaddress policiesrelatedto
farmersincludingeliminationof carbontaxes,how tobesttransitionof nitrogenfertilizer
throughbetterfarmingpractices,estate planning,etc.
6. Critical metalsare still controlledbyChina.CountrieslikeCanadaneedtostreamlinetheir
regulatoryapproval processaspart of developingnew miningreserves.The critical factorthat
cannot be ignoredishowbestto reduce the environmental impactof critical metals
7. Countrieslike Canadaare a natural carbon sink.Canadashouldnot become complacentwith
beinga sink.Canadashouldbe focusonbetterpracticeswhenitcomesland-use,forest
management,andwatermanagement.
8. Remote communitiesneedtobe providedwiththe necessarytoolsincludingvertical farmingas
well aslookat betterwaysto shipgoodsto them
9. Fishfarmingcan be a solution,butitneedstobe done in a waythat it doesnotmesswitheco-
systems
10. Windand solarfarms are beingpushedwithoutproperenvironmental andriskassessment.
11. Hydrogencan be a growthfuel, butitwill require all levelsof governmentworkingwith
companieslike Linde,AirProducts,andotherstodevelopthe infrastructure forhydrogen
12. All levelsof governmentneedtomove tothe centerandstop lookingforwaystotax people.
