Non Ulcer Dyspepsia is caused by the bacteria H. Pylori living in the stomach lining. H. Pylori causes inflammation of the intestines and increases acid in the stomach, though it does not cause ulcers. It can be treated with medications like Zantac or Prevacid that reduce acid. H. Pylori is commonly found in soil and enters the body through the mouth before residing in the stomach. Long term, it can affect the digestive system and cause nausea or tooth decay by increasing acid levels. Treatment includes antibiotics to reduce acid or gaining weight through a healthy diet in order to strengthen stomach cells.
