Aceasta este o prezentare a orașului Sighișoara, un oraș medieval din România care s-a păstrat de-a lungul timpului pe aceste meleaguri.
Oraşul Sighişoara a fost întemeiat de colonişti germani Cefixime care au fost aduşi de către regele Ungariei din acea perioadă (secolul al 13-lea).
În decursul anilor oraşul medieval a fost lovit de foarte multe valuri de popoare migratoare, precum marea năvălire tătară şi mişcarea habsburgică, cetatea suferind foarte mult în urma acestora. Iniţial cetatea era alcătuită din 14 turnuri şi 4 bastioane, momentan existând doar 9 turnuri şi 3 basioane.
Breslele meşteşugarilor din Sighişoara aveau fiecare câte un turn în care îşi puteau desfăşura meseria cu mai multă uşurinţă. Din păcate în anul 1884 breslele au fost desfiinţate din cauza faptului că îşi pierduseră semnificaţia.

Sturdza Castle in Miclauseni, Romania was built between 1880-1904 by Gheorghe Sturdza and his wife in the neo-Gothic style. It fell into disrepair after World War 2 but has since been restored by the Metropolitan of Moldova.

The Saxon villages of Transylvania appeared in the 13th century when the Kings of Hungary settled German colonists in the area. They had a special status among nations in the province and their civilisation managed to survive and thrive, forming a very strong community of farmers, artisans and merchants. Being situated in a region constantly under the threat of the Ottoman and Tatar invasions, they built fortifications of different sizes. The most important towns were fully fortified, and the smaller communities created fortifications centered around the church, where they added defensive towers and storehouses to keep their most valuable goods and to help them withstand long sieges. For beauty and their age, some of them were listed in UNESCO heritage.
