This document introduces BioKMTM, a knowledge management tool for academic laboratories. BioKMTM allows users to simplify logistics, share knowledge, track material orders, define storage locations, plan projects, follow research progress, share schedules, send messages, view assigned tasks and project updates, find materials, prevent duplicate orders, view storage locations and order histories, set milestones and experiments, organize files privately or publicly, access protocols, map plasmids, view storage locations of samples, and document research in a central location. It is concluded that BioKMTM provides a secure server to maintain important laboratory data and enhances collaboration between researchers.
