2. Fatmawati, indigenous native woman born in Bengkulu
on February 5, 1923 with the original name of Fatimah. Name
Fatimah is a gift from his parents. Fatmawati is a descendant of
the couple Hassan Din and Siti Chadijah which both parents are
descended Puti Indrapura or commonly called a king of the
imperial family Indrapura, South Coast, West Sumatra.
Fatmawati father also renowned as one of the leaders of
Muhammadiyah in Bengkulu. Fatmawati educated and raised
both his parents in Bengkulu.
When growing up, Fatmawati married with Indonesian
President Sukarno the first on June 1, 1943 when she 20 year
old. She became the first First Lady of Indonesia from 1945 to
1967 and is the 3rd wife of the First President of Indonesia,
Sukarno (1943-1956). The leader of the State of Indonesia pair
had five sons and daughters, of whom is Guntur Soekarnoputra,
Megawati Sukarnoputri, Rachmawati Sukarnoputri, Sukmawati
Sukarnoputri, and the last Guruh Soekarnoputra.
Indonesian First Lady is known as the woman who sewed
the flag instrumental in the Saka Merah Putih firmly hoisted at
the first ceremony of the Proclamation of Independence of
Indonesia in Jakarta, precisely on August 17, 1945.
Fatmawati died on May 14, 1980 at the age of 57 years in
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from a heart attack while on his way
home from Mecca pilgrimage. Fatmawati buried in Rubber
bivouac, Jakarta. Currently used as a name the name Fatmawati
Hospital in Jakarta, Soekarno Fatmawati name is also used as a
name of the Airport in Indonesia precisely in Bengkulu, the
hometown of Fatmawati.
The third daughter of the first President Sukarno and this
Fatmawati MURI award winning in Indonesia, and one daughter
Megawati Sukarnoputri also been followed in the footsteps of his

President in Indonesia.
