Biofungitek is a fungal biotechnology company founded in 2008 located in Bizkaia Technology Park. They develop safe and effective fungicides for plant protection and postharvest crop preservation using fungal autoregulators. Their first product Fungistat controls Botrytis and Oidium infections. They also develop new autoregulators through screening and study synergy with existing fungicides. Future products include Fungistat and Fungireg to control various fungal diseases while meeting safety and residue standards.

1. Fungistat:
 High safety contact fungicide product based on proprietary autoregulator
technology (Patent pending). Improves potassium hydrogen carbonate fungicide
activity.
 Effective against Botrytis cinerea and Oidium infections on grapevine and
vegetables such as tomato and pepper.
 Suitable for organic and ecological farming
practices.
 Compatible with other conventional fungicide
treatments.
 Particularly suitable as treatment prior to
delivery to distributor.

2. Fungireg:
 High safety liquid fungicide formlation based on
proprietary autoregulator technology (Patented).
 Effective against Botrytis cinerea, Mucor spp.,
Rhyzopus spp., and Penicillium spp., in postharvest
storage and transport situations.
 Applied under controlled atmospheric conditions due
to volatile nature of the active ingredients.
 Currently in development for drencher applications, as
well as mist applications.
 Volatile nature of active component means that it is a
0 residue treatment.

1. High throughput screning of new autorregulators:
 Biofungitek currently searches for new autoregulator formulations against the main
phytopathogenic pests
2. Synergy studies:
 Biofungitek concurrently studies potential synergistic effects between known
fungicides and proprietary autorregulator molecules, thus offering to generate new
formulations which abide current and future EC regulations.
3. Development of optimal application methods:
 Biofungitek is developping proprietary techniques for the optimal application of all
its new active substances, and their formulations.
