Data for the many, not just the few
User data and user trust are intimately linked – especially in politics.
We don’t and won’t sell our users’ individual data.
Our revenue model, crowdfunding, is bottom-up and user-aligned.
Crowdpac’s mission is all about building a better democracy.
That means our users come first – we are a platform for bottom-up empowerment of citizens.
We are also a social venture, currently registering as a B-corporation.

Crowdpac uses big data to map political positions
Most people have little idea about where politicians truly stand politically, or who is closest to
them
We map politicans’ positions through simple heuristics on our race pages and political
matchmakers, and provide further detail on candidate pages for citizens to educate themselves.
We use many data sources – political donations, votes/bills, social networks, speech/text,
endorsements. Our political models are locally tailored to each country. We are always keen to
incorporate more open data to improve Crowdpac’s usefulness to citizens.
