This document discusses optimizing the inclination angle of a capillary film solar still to enhance fresh water production in southern Algeria. It presents a system description and mathematical model of the solar still's operation. The model considers heat and mass balances of the glass cover, evaporator, and condenser. It derives equations to calculate heat transfer coefficients and distillate mass flow based on inclination angle and other parameters. Simulation results show the inclination angle significantly impacts production, with an optimum angle of 38° for the site in Adrar, Algeria.
