Jointly Developed 
The parents, staff and students of Benton Elementary School developed the 
compact to ensure communication and develop strategies to help students be 
successful. Meetings are held to ask for input from parents, teachers, and students.

District Goals 
Performance Goals 
By Spring 2017, Jackson County Schools will 
increase the percentage of students in grades 3-5 
exceeding the standard in Reading/ELA, Mathematics, 
Science, and Social Studies by 15% on the state assessment. 
By Spring 2017, Jackson County Schools will: 
increase the percentage of students in grade three achieving 
a Lexile measure equal or greater to 650 by 15%. 
Increase the percentage of students in grade five achieving 
a Lexile measure equal or greater to 850 by 15%.. 
Jackson County will increase students’ College, 
Career, and Life Readiness. 
Focus Area: Leadership and Performance . 
All students will reach high standards. 
Based on the previous year’s data. BES has set the following goals for 
our students to exceed standards: 
Exceeds 3rd grade 4th grade 5th grade
