Hello. And welcome!
I invite you to join me at the 2012 Benevolent Media Festival,
a four-day celebration of storytellers, designers, filmmakers,
photographers and other creatives dedicated to social and
environmental good.
We held our inaugural festival last November, and I’m proud to
say that our team of volunteers and community partners held
film screenings, hosted open mic nights, led youth workshops,
staged a benefit concert, showcased a charity design day and
much, much more. In total, more than 400 people engaged
in 18 different events held across the city, and thousands
more supported us through viral marketing and promotion. As
a sponsor you’ll help us create these meaningful events and
experiences for even more attendees in 2012!
This year’s festival is organized along five main themes: Learn,
Revive, Sustain, Heal, and Empower. Our signature events will
include an opening party, video showcase, networking lounge, and
a pitch night for entrepreneurs.

Just like last year, we’ll also invite other individuals and
organizations to submit their own lectures, workshops,
performances, networking events and other activities to the
agenda.
These are all great opportunities to get in front of a
passionate and socially conscious group of young
professionals in the D.C. area. Our festival goers are avid
consumers of media, users of technology, and influencers of
design, especially when it comes to brands they trust.
I’m excited to scale up last year’s successes at our second
annual festival, scheduled for June 22-25.

changemakers as much as they are tastemakers.
Our signature events will include:
Opening Party, featuring eco-conscious food and drink, with
an interactive art and music showcase produced by cause-
oriented creatives.
Video Showcase, featuring screenings of social impact
documentaries and nonprofit films, followed by talk-backs,
dialogues and panel discussions with the filmmakers.
Networking Lounge, providing a welcoming space for
in-person conversations about projects, pitches and
opportunities related to storytelling and design for good.
Pitch Night, giving benevolent media creators a chance to
present their pitches and proposals in captivating 5-minute
PechaKucha-style presentations, for a chance to win cash
prizes from interested investors and funders.

Benevolent Media Festival - Sponsors

  • 2. Hello. And welcome! I invite you to join me at the 2012 Benevolent Media Festival, a four-day celebration of storytellers, designers, filmmakers, photographers and other creatives dedicated to social and environmental good. We held our inaugural festival last November, and I’m proud to say that our team of volunteers and community partners held film screenings, hosted open mic nights, led youth workshops, staged a benefit concert, showcased a charity design day and much, much more. In total, more than 400 people engaged in 18 different events held across the city, and thousands more supported us through viral marketing and promotion. As a sponsor you’ll help us create these meaningful events and experiences for even more attendees in 2012! This year’s festival is organized along five main themes: Learn, Revive, Sustain, Heal, and Empower. Our signature events will include an opening party, video showcase, networking lounge, and a pitch night for entrepreneurs.

Just like last year, we’ll also invite other individuals and organizations to submit their own lectures, workshops, performances, networking events and other activities to the agenda. These are all great opportunities to get in front of a passionate and socially conscious group of young professionals in the D.C. area. Our festival goers are avid consumers of media, users of technology, and influencers of design, especially when it comes to brands they trust. I’m excited to scale up last year’s successes at our second annual festival, scheduled for June 22-25.
