This document discusses mentoring new librarians for teaching success at the University of Toronto Libraries. It suggests both formal and informal mentoring approaches, including traditional, targeted, group, and reverse mentoring. Groups like the Mentoring Interest Group (MIG) provide opportunities for new librarians to share, learn, and get support from more experienced librarians. The libraries also offer staff-led training sessions on topics such as using mobile devices and Libguides, as well as connections to the university's Centre for Teaching Support and Innovation. The goal is a grassroots approach where librarians teach and help each other.
