Eating increased amounts of pork and beans may increase flatulence rates according to a student presentation. Six students ate varying amounts of pork and beans for 5 days while tallying their farts, then stopped the pork and beans for 5 more days still tallying farts. One student was the control. Results showed those eating more pork and beans farted more during that period, and less after stopping, indicating eating pork and beans increases flatulence rates. The myth that pork and beans increases farting was confirmed.
