Be True to You
Are you being selfish to want to live the life
you feel is right for you?
Many people you love would tell you, YES!
How do you know when you are being selfish?
Or when you are being true to you?
I believe you can know the difference
by how it makes you feel
I want to live in Japan
I want to work with children
with no thought of consequences.
When you are being selfish, you are following your wants…
They are desires, perhaps just passing fancies
When you are being true to you,
you are following your needs
something deep inside you that is driving you;
telling you what you need to do
to live a meaningful life, to have a purpose…
You have probably felt it all your life,
I need to live in Japan.
I need to work with children.
You may not even know why
Needs ignored can make you sick
as they are ever present, calling you.
Determining what are your wants versus your needs
means to know yourself.
You will need to go deep inside yourself
and listen to your heart
Meditation Tai Chi Yoga
Enjoying a sunrise or sunset
You can reach this place through any method that
quiets your thinking, analytical mind:
Listening to music (no words)
Running, cycling, swimming, (focus on breathing)
Gardening (focus on the beauty of nature)
Anything that stops you from thinking, works:
Get to know what your heart and soul needs and
you will be living by your true and authentic self.
Feel, not think.
It’s really the only way you can be happy.
