Fitness and health
In the midst of a world that seems to be spiralling into madness, it can seem hard to stay active and healthy. We have become so busy with the day-to-day grind of work, school, social life and all other commitments that we forget just how important our health is to us. It feels so easy and doesn’t require much effort. So what are some tips to keeping fit and motivated? Here are five ideas, from my own experiences.
1. Don’t give up because you’re tired after an hour workout. There is no such thing as too much. I am not going to lie to you when I say sometimes your body can feel extremely sore on the second session but what really counts is thinking about tomorrow and the things at hand. If nothing else, then tomorrow will always be there for me. At least I hope that is. The first couple of minutes are actually quite relaxing; they’re nice to get back into a rhythm. Once the pain wears off you will begin to enjoy some form of movement again. This way you get more done in less time. Even if you think you don’t like your routine, give yourself permission to try different things. What if you want to start boxing? Maybe yoga with Adriana or maybe even just running down the street. When you get tired of doing what works for you, it might be time for you to look at what you may be missing out on while working out. Can you run around the block? No problem! Try swimming laps and taking short runs instead of long runs. Get moving, no matter where you are feeling stuck – in the car, looking at the clock in front of you or maybe, just laying on the couch, watching TV. Just being out there makes your mind feel fresh and invigorated. You’ll find it easier to go out and do something fun and make yourself happy. It has been said that “health is wealth” and sometimes that is true. We get better when we exercise. Workout helps keep our bodies in shape and energised. Not only does the stress drain away, it gives us a sense of accomplishment that we did what we could to accomplish this feat. Sometimes, having something to look forward to makes us more motivated to do whatever is needed to achieve whatever goal we’ve set. Life changes and that means change is necessary. As well as putting your daily goals on hold and giving yourself the chance to relax. Exercise for thirty seconds, then take a deep breath. A good old thirty seconds is all that will matter. Take in one minute worth of sleep and let them carry on until you fall asleep.
2. Never underestimate the power of motivation. You have got to get up every morning and look outwards looking at your surroundings and the people within it. Look across and see where they are going, where they are standing, even if they are only a few feet away from yours. Then return their gaze and see where you may be heading next. Do that for ten minutes (at most) then return to staring at a blank page. Whatever it takes do it. They are right here with you and waiting for you to finish. Whether in your bedroom, on

Never take yourself so seriously it will give you a chance to enjoy your life. Always do something nice to yourself it is a comforting gesture. Support someone else too it’s a source of satisfaction, but above all love yourself.
I think it is about time you dropped those negative thoughts about yourself and act now. There are many positive things you can do about your weight than to sit there without doing anything. Seek and you will find!!!!!!
You think thousands of thoughts each day. You talk to yourself more than anyone else. You are your most trusted advisor and confidant. Many of the conversations that you have with yourself you would never share with anyone else because to do so would expose the “real” you. The you that is filled with self-doubt, worries, sadness, guilt, hurts and disappointments.

8 toxic activities that you really should get rid of for improve your quality...Doni Ariyanto
I set up a routine in the morning, began meditating, regularly went to the gym and read at least one book a week.
And, I didn't feel happier, more fulfilled, or stronger one year later.
And I didn't understand why, even though I had developed all these modern, strong habits, my life did not change.
So, this is the easiest and most difficult post to write because it is about me! Oh, the vulnerability :) I want to share why I am so focused on changing my internal dialogue, speaking positively and committed to changing my life.
I want to live the rest of my life with a purpose, I want to live a life according to how God sees me and what He had & has planned for me.
This is why I am exposing myself because I know it isn't easy and I know there are others like me, for whatever their reasons, they are full of doubt and exhausted with themselves.
If you don't want to walk alone, join the Facebook group (closed and safe) so we can walk together.... Join Here this is absolutely nothing other than for those of us who find strength in journeying together...

What it was like working in the Middle East as a Western Woman.Meagan Paterson
People often ask me what it was like working in the Middle East as a Western, Christian Woman.
I love travel, I love business, adventure, exploring new places, cultures & of course the food!
As a family we lived in the United Arab Emirates & Bahrain, obviously traveling around the region.
Read about my experiences & the common questions I am asked.
Corporate Social Responsibility should be the start, thinking about giving, ethical treatment of people and the environment. What if we think beyond that and do business with other Companies that give each time they get (ie/ sell something?). Then the net of giving gets wider and wider & greater impact occurs!
Networking is one of the most basic and essential skills employees should develop. Having great networking skills within an organization is sometimes overlooked. Having a viable networking and communication skill set will benefit any organization and will lead to increased productivity and performance.

10 Things I wished I knew When I started My BusinessMeagan Paterson
I have been working professionally for over 25 years and have started businesses, bought and sold them.
I still find the process fascinating. I get asked often about starting up a business and how to do it, so I decided to create this video - what I wished I knew when I started my first business.
Greatest Frustrations in Project Procurement - Survey ResultsMeagan Paterson
We surveyed a random group of personnel involved in Project Procurement. Respondents were pretty evenly split between Project Management, Procurement & Project Procurement.
We got the top 6 Areas of Frustration when working within Project Procurement as well as asked for Open responses. These comments were voiced with Concerns over the Environment, leading to why Projects don't succeed as planned.
How do You Know Supplier's Intent to Respond to your Request for Sourcing?
Are you being Proactive or Reactive?
Are you ensuring you know who will respond or if you need to add extra suppliers? Are you left empty when opening Sourcing Responses?
Do you want to ensure you don't lose time on your Project waiting for Suppliers to get back to you?
2. Is there something you want to achieve?
Something you want to change?
Something that you keep saying someday I will get around to doing
that?
Something for the positive or something to eliminate?
Circumstances of life feel like they are suffocating you & you need
change?
Whatever it is, TODAY IS THE DAY!!
No more procrastination, no more excuses, no more next Monday or
next Month or next Year! No more one day or someday.
Today is the Day.
4. • You want to exercise - go for a 10 minute walk.
• You want to lose weight - cut out that snack you are about to
attack.
• You want to be more positive - don't complain for the rest of today.
• You want to study - enrol in the course or at least find a free
abridged version online!!
• Maybe life just complete sucks at the moment and you need to be
kind to yourself to help you get through - well that's change too!
Or, perhaps you have tried (probably, like me) more than once, it
lasted a day, a week, a month, however long but you stopped.
You are kicking yourself and spending time and energy mentally and
verbally abusing yourself.
5. Use that energy for good!! Remember it is a journey, get back on the
path again, evaluate where you deviated and address why.. but do try
again.
I recently set myself a goal to be consistent for at least 21 days doing
the following daily (the time it takes to change a habit and have one
set it).
I made the 21 days and am still going....
• Read the bible
• Pray
• Exercise
• Write a gratitude journal
6. • Review my dreams and goals
• Speak out affirming statements about me, my family and our
circumstances
• Listen / watch a motivational or Christian Video / podcast
I have found some keys for me have been to ignore my feelings, not
to put a time limit on every activity and multi task when / where I can.
For eg/
7. • Exercise has ranged from 10 minutes walking up and down a few
steps, to the exercise bike for 30 minutes to an hours walk along
the beach.
• Multitask - listen / watch a video while riding the exercise bike.
• Walk along the beach and pray.
• Audible bible when in the car.
Some days I spend more on one activity than the rest, I know to keep
going I have to be reasonable with myself. It would be impossible to
say I dedicate 30 minutes+ to each activity.
Do not set yourself up to fail.
Another key has been deliberately watching what I am saying and
speaking positively. Crap happens, I've just had a couple of shocking
8. days, but this time I have moved on quickly and not set up camp in
misery (although very compelling at the time).
You are going to take a hit, stuff will come at you.
I also believe that when you are on a path of improvement, especially
in consultation with God, you are going to get whacked about
spiritually (ie the enemy / devil / evil / force for all things bad). Be
aware and remember you are not fighting against flesh and blood...
9.
10. I got sucked into some drama the last couple of days and felt God
remind me of that scripture..
I still had a meltdown, but have picked myself up and moving ahead
doing what I know I am meant to do.
That's life sometimes it will be through gritted teeth, other times will be
easy peasy.
11.
12. I don't know what you want to change but I do know that inherently we
don't like change and so it will most probably be a struggle.
I do know that the changes I am making - SLOWLY are making me
feel better, think clearer (most of the time), get back on track faster
when I deviate and hopefully making the lives of those around me
happier and better too.
13. Also, remember this is your journey, no one else's, so resist all
temptation to compare, some are further along and some haven't
even started.
14. You don't know the depths of those people’s stories, focus on yours!
I have been thinking about this quite a bit because it is so hard not to
judge your progress based on someone else's... That's in another post
:)
Run your race, do not be distracted by others, focus on your goals and
your finish line.
This is about you, the change you are committing to, the person you
are becoming and the people who will be inspired, uplifted, motivated
and have their lives improved by the new you :)
15. I am considering doing a closed Facebook Group Page for anyone
who is going through the process of change now, or wanting to OR just
feels overwhelmed with the circumstances of life!!
A place where we can motivate each other, be transparent, be held
accountable (a bit painful, but so worth it!!), all with the odd glass of
champagne and humour :)
I can help you formulate a plan based on your goals if you need
someone to get you started.
16. There is strength in numbers and unity!
It will also be a safe place, with no judgement allowed.
If you are keen, let me know. I am doing this in a tiny setting at the
moment and we get so much value from it, always having someone
who has our back :) Let me know, would love to be part of your
journey xx
