2. Belief in Angels
• Angles are created from light, as Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her)
reported: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon
him) said: ‘The angels are created from light, just as the jinn are created from
smokeless fire and mankind is created from clay.”
• We doesn’t know much about their physique
• They come to earth in human form on Allah’s orders
3. Angels Characteristics
• They are naturally obedient creatures, "They do not disobey Allah's commands that
they receive; they do precisely what they are commanded" [66:6]
• All angels praise and glorify God and they never become tired of doing this. “They
celebrate His praises night and day, nor do they ever flag or intermit.” [21:20]
• Angels are genderless.
• They do not require sleep, food, or drink; they are invisible to us.
• Angels are numerous. No one except Allah knows their exact number.
• Mala'ika , which means "to assist and help."
4. Angels mentioned in the Quran
• Jibreel (Gabriel): in charge of communicating Allah's words to His prophets.
• Israfeel (Raphael): in charge of blowing the trumpet to mark the Day of Judgment.
• Mikail (Michael): in charge of rainfall and sustenance.
• Munkar and Nakeer: after death, these angels will question souls in the grave about their
faith and deeds.
• Malak Am-Maut (Angel of Death): in charge of taking possession of souls after death.
• Malik: guardian of hell.
• Ridwan: guardian of heaven.
5. Belief in Books
• “Torah” is an Arabic word, which means “The law”. It was revealed to Hazrat Musa
(A.S),
• “Zaboor” is an Arabic word, which is derived from “Zimr” that means psalms (the
holy poems or songs). It was revealed to Hazrat David (Dawood) (A.S)
• The word “Injil” is derived from Greek language, and is translated in English as
“Gospel”. And it was revealed on Hazrat Isa (A.S).
• The word “Quran” is derived from the Arabic word “Quraa” which stands for “to
read or recite” or “something which is continuously recited”.
6. Books Characteristics
• Muslims believe in all the revealed books and sahifas but follow only Quran
• All the revealed books are not present in their original form. Their followers
have made many changes in them.
• Revealed language is now extinct
• All the revelations that came before Quran were meant for particular group
of people till a particular period of time till the next revelation came. But
Quran is the last and final revelation; it is for whole of humanity till the Day
of Judgment.
7. Belief in Prophets
• The Arabic word for prophet is Nabi; Its plural is Anbiya’
• The Arabic word for Messenger is Rasool; Its plural is ‘Rusul’.
• Prophets were all human beings.
• They taught their people by example.
8. Allah Sent Prophets to All Nations
• Allah says in the Qur’an:
•ُولسَّر ٍةَّمُأ ِلُكِلَو(یونس:47)
• And for every nation there is a Messenger.
•ًیرِذَنَو اًيرِشَب ِقَحْالِب َاكَنْلَسْرَأ اَّنِإاَهيِف َخَل ََّّلِإ ٍةَّمُأ ْنِم نِإَو ا
یرِذَن(فاطر:24)
• Verily We have sent you in truth, as a bearer of glad tidings, and as a warner. And
there never was a people, without a warner having lived among them (in the past).
[35:24]
9. We Must Believe in All Prophets
• A Hadith reported by Imam Ahmad ibn Hibban on the authority of Abu Tharr
puts the total number of messengers at 315 and prophets at 124000.
• Only 25 prophets have been mentioned by name in the Qur’an.
•ُصْقَن ْمَّل ًَلُسُرَو ُلْبَق نِم َْكيَلَع ْمُهاَنْصَصَق ْدَق ًَلُسُرَوَْكيَلَع ْمُهْص(4:164)
• And We told you about some messengers, while We did not tell you about others.
• Muslims must believe in and respect all the prophets mentioned in the Qur’an.
• They should believe that Allah sent many prophets and messengers whose names
are not known and respect them too.
10. Their characteristic
• Their Message was same
• They were given Miracles
• Morally and intellectually superior in their community
• Selfless and well wishers of the people
• They lead an exemplary practical life
• Prophet Muhammed was the last prophets and he only should be followed

12. Belief in Akhirah
• On Doomsday (Qiyamah) all creature will be vanished
• On Re-Aliving will be present before Allah (Hashr)
• Results will be declared (Nama e Aamal)
• Weightier pan will be successful and lighter will be the losers
• Winner will go to Jannah and losers to Jahannum.
• No relations, power, money and status will be helpful
13. Why Akhirath?
• World is a place for test and not reward
• Cruel people often goes un punished
• Good people often are unrewarded
• Intentions will be checked
• Punishment / rewards as per actual deeds are not proportionate in world
• Most compelling belief for being Virtuous
