Bay of Bengal in the east and west, while Myanmar surrounds it to the
south.
The total land area is 130,172 Km2
The country is divided into eight administrative divisions, which are
further subdivided into districts or zilas.

4. Short history
The first Muslims came to the area around 13th Century seizing control
and establishing independent rule.
During the 15th Century many European merchants began coming to
the region.
In the late 1750's with the defeat of the last Muslim leader of Bengal, the
British imposed political rule over the region.
The British controlled the area known asWest Bengal for nearly two
hundred years. In 1945, the British were strongly pressured to reduce
the size of their empire. In June 1947 the United Kingdom declared it
two separate states : India and Pakistan. India became the Hindu state
and Pakistan, the Muslim state.
The independent State of Bangladesh was quickly formed.

Kabaddi is a contact team sport that originated in ancient

Two teams compete, each occupying its own half of the
court.They take turns sending a "raider" into the opposing
team's half and earn points if the raider manages to touch
opposing team members and return to the home half, all
while taking only a single breath. If however the raider is
tackled and prevented from returning, the opposing team
earns the point.
