SCHOOL BASED FEEDING PROGRAM

BANGCUD NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

SCHOOL BASED FEEDING PROGRAM REPORT
The school based feeding program exist because of the needs of our severely wasted students to
be helped on their nutritional status. With the cooperation of the advisers and stakeholders, the feeding
program of Bangcud National High School exist. There are 41 severely wasted students identified during
the pre – weighing scheduled last June with the help of our MAPEH Department.
The MAPEH departments together with the City Health office has given all the students a
Deworming tablets, Vitamins before we have started the feeding program.
When a student weighs below her ideal body weights, malnutrition prevails, some of them will not
focus in listening from the class, some also skip classes or even will not go to school because they luck
money to pay for their food, or even some of the household offers food that does not fit for their growing
child.
As a supplement aide for the student’s nutritional requirements, the School Based Feeding
Program continues to cater recipients in order for them to reach the ideal body weight. With the Help of
Gulayan sa Paaralan, where the produce is complete from the sources of Energy Giving food, Body
Building Food and Body Regulating Food, under Mrs. Lelina H. Sabio who is very patient and generous
to share the produce that they have, the feeding program will exist.
Other sources for the SBFP is coming from the School’s MOOE budget, from Rice, dried fish,
potato, Sugar and Chocolate Drinks. We also have other generous persons who in other way, shared their
blessings from Vegetables to materials.
In just a week of feeding the recipients were weight and very happy that they were able to gain by
2 kilos, and that is a big improvement since the feeding is done every day.
We need to renew our commitments to help those in need of most assistance, particularly
children. We need to ensure that children can have a better, brighter tomorrow, and we need to start
feeding them properly both in school and at home. – Rappler.com

  • 2. 2 Republic of the Philippines Department of Education Region X – Northern Mindanao Division of Malaybalay City BANGCUD NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL Bangcud, Malaybalay City SCHOOL BASED FEEDING PROGRAM REPORT The school based feeding program exist because of the needs of our severely wasted students to be helped on their nutritional status. With the cooperation of the advisers and stakeholders, the feeding program of Bangcud National High School exist. There are 41 severely wasted students identified during the pre – weighing scheduled last June with the help of our MAPEH Department. The MAPEH departments together with the City Health office has given all the students a Deworming tablets, Vitamins before we have started the feeding program. When a student weighs below her ideal body weights, malnutrition prevails, some of them will not focus in listening from the class, some also skip classes or even will not go to school because they luck money to pay for their food, or even some of the household offers food that does not fit for their growing child. As a supplement aide for the student’s nutritional requirements, the School Based Feeding Program continues to cater recipients in order for them to reach the ideal body weight. With the Help of Gulayan sa Paaralan, where the produce is complete from the sources of Energy Giving food, Body Building Food and Body Regulating Food, under Mrs. Lelina H. Sabio who is very patient and generous to share the produce that they have, the feeding program will exist. Other sources for the SBFP is coming from the School’s MOOE budget, from Rice, dried fish, potato, Sugar and Chocolate Drinks. We also have other generous persons who in other way, shared their blessings from Vegetables to materials. In just a week of feeding the recipients were weight and very happy that they were able to gain by 2 kilos, and that is a big improvement since the feeding is done every day. We need to renew our commitments to help those in need of most assistance, particularly children. We need to ensure that children can have a better, brighter tomorrow, and we need to start feeding them properly both in school and at home. – Rappler.com
