2. OBJECTIVES OF THE STUDY
● To study the functions of Bal Kendras in East Delhi .
● To study the role of Bal Kendras in developing creative skills in students of
DoE schools.
● To study the need and expectations of schools from Bal Kendras.
● To study the gap between the expectation of schools and contribution of Bal
Kendras towards the schools.
3. STRATEGY FOR THE STUDY
Research Design: Descriptive survey
Tools: Interview schedule, questionnaire, observation.
Sample: DoE Schools associated with Bal Kendra (District
East)
4. JUSTIFICATION FOR THE STUDY
National Bal Bhawan has a multidimensional role to play such as supplement
school system by providing children with a free environment conducive to
create expression and activity.
Bal Kendras aim at enhancing the creative potential of children of age group 5-
16 years by providing them with opportunities and a common platform to
interact, experiment, create, and perform according to their age and ability.
NEP2020 emphasizes the need for awareness of students regarding culture and
learning of various skills involving psychomotor development.
Investigator aims to study the gap between the expectation of schools and
contribution of Bal Kendras.
5. EXPECTED OUTCOMES OF THE STUDY
1. Roles and contribution of Bal Bhawan and Kendras towards Schools.
2. Utility of Bal Bhawan and Kendras with respect to DoE schools.
3. Identification of gaps between role and expectations.
6. Key Performance Indicators (KPI) In measurable terms)
● Number of activities organized by Bal Kendras of District East for DoE schools.
● No. of schools getting benefitted through Bal Kendras.
