The organization has raised $12,000 so far through bake sales to purchase body armor for troops, which has protected 30 soldiers. However, the need is still growing as soldiers now also request leg armor to protect against IEDs. The organization wants to increase public awareness of this ongoing need through public events and meetings with congressional leaders, and is seeking donations for a travel fund to make these outreach efforts possible.
