Muslim Homeless Meals Program -
Creator, Organizer, Facilitator and Cook- Volunteer and cook
Seattle, WA
November 2003 to Present
Prepare fresh hot, nutritious, home cooked meals and feed 100-125 homeless citizens in
downtown Seattle for past 10 years. I cook four-course nutritious meals from scratch every
Saturday and drive to downtown Seattle Occidental Park, Pioneer Square. I am able to maintain a
peaceful environment within a volatile atmosphere. Very resourceful in collecting enough food
by visiting several food banks when needed, and using my own resources, without help from any
other government agencies.
Fremont Public Association
Program Coordinator
Seattle, WA
January 2004 to December 2004
I and a co-worker created and designed the Food Bank manual, using the WAC rules and
guidelines, that is currently used statewide. We collected information over the phone for the
locations, necessary documents needed, days and times of services, for persons in need of food
for all the food banks in the State of Washington. We answered hundreds of phone calls from all
over Washington to give out this information to the general public on a daily basis; six days a
week.
