uncertainity in numbers?

• The reason we need to be Sceptical about the
statistics provided to us is that most of these
stats are not read by the people
• It does not reflect the everyday picture of
what people are going through
• It generalises communities and people ;Thus,
creating disparities and misconceptions about
an Issue

• Our societies have become really diverse,
which makes it difficult for pollsters to get a
really nice representative sample of the
population for their polls

certainty, and it works -- these charts can
numb our brains to criticism. When you hear a
statistic, you might feel sceptical. As soon as
it's buried in a chart, it feels like some kind of
objective science, and it's not.
