MASS AND VOLUME
Mass:

Mass is the amount of matter in an object
measured in grams, pounds, and other weight
measurements.
How to Calculate Mass
  You can calculate
  mass in many
  different ways and
  one of them is to
  weigh whatever
  object you want
  using a balancing
  scale.
How to Find Mass (cont.)

 You can also find mass by weighing it on an
  electronic scale.
Volume
 Volume is how much space
an object takes up. It is
 measured in many different
 units, but the most common
 are centimeters and
 milliliters, depending on the
 object you are measuring.
How to Find Volume
You can find volume in two ways, and the first and
easiest one is to measure the length, width, and
height of a SQUARE object. Once you find these
measurements, you multiply them together to find
the volume.
How to Find Volume (cont.)

The other way to find volume
(only for irregularly shaped
objects) is to fill a graduated
cylinder to a certain amount
and drop the object in to see
how much the water rose. How
much it rose is the volume.
