About Ms. Martin
• Teaching is one of my passions
• I have a 7 week old daughter (Meagan)
• I graduated from SPH in 2008, William Carey University in
2012
• I love sports!! (basketball, football, etc)

Teaching Philosophy
• Every student has something to contribute to the
classroom.
• Every student need to learn and work together
• Every student will live up to the expectations placed
upon them.

• Offer challenging practice that guides the students
towards success.
• High level of achievement can be expected
Attendance
• You are expected to attend school each day
• If you are tardy or absent, you must have a note to
come to class
• If you are absent, you are responsible for completing
missing assignments
• If you miss a test/quiz, you will be allowed to make it
up on a scheduled day
Grading Scales
GRADING
• 90 – 100 A
• 80 – 89 B
• 70 – 79 C
• 60 – 69 D
• 0 – 59 F
*There will be opportunities to earn extra points

Entering the Classroom
• Be on time
• Enter the classroom quietly
• Go to assigned seat
• Get necessary materials out
• Start on assignment
During Instruction
• Pay attention at all times
• Raise your hand and wait to be told to move or speak
• Stay focus during instruction. No talking or playing
during class time.
Keeping Your Binder
• All work should be kept in binder
• File assignments given back by teacher in binder
• Make sure binder is neat, with no papers hanging or
sticking out.
• Your binder will be taken up for a grade
Leaving the Classroom
• Put materials away and make sure work area is clean
• The teacher will dismiss the class, not the clock, bell,
or other students.
• Exit quietly
Response to Fire and Tornado Drill
• STOP all talking immediately!
• Get out of seats quickly!
• Do not take any items with you!
• Listen for instructions from teacher on what to do
next.
