Communication is the key!
Com cards are a great tool!
  •It’s a visual.
  •It can serve as a foundation for
  conversations with your student about their
  strengths and weaknesses.
  •It gives parents a peek into the daily life of
  a student.
Responsibility

Responsibility is a learned behavior.
People learn best from experience.
Consequences are a part of learning.
6th grade is a wonderful opportunity to learn from
experience and learn how to respond to
consequences!

• What: Nothing with nuts or peanut butter and please nothing messy
   (such as hot fudge sundaes!) – cakes/brownies pre-cut, please –
  consider sending a few gluton-free options
•*How: Please let the advisory teacher know you’re bringing treats for
    the class so she can plan accordingly.
• Who: Every student in the class (and the teacher, too!).
• Safety: When you bring the treats, you’ll need to sign in at the office.

You are welcome to stay while we sing “Happy Birthday” to your
student and pass out the treats, but please know that after celebrating,
we will return to our quiet, productive advisory time.
