 Since its establishment in Cuba more than 150
years ago, Bacardi has undertaken a variety of
charitable and social responsibility initiatives.
In recent years, the company has focused on
reducing its environmental impact and
implemented a plan to improve water
efficiency by 15 percent by 2012. Thanks in

last five years, the company has cut its water
consumption in half, while simultaneously

wastewater to fields for irrigation and

reduce the suspended solids and biochemical
oxygen demand in its wastewater so that it can
be reused more easily.
