This document provides materials, resources, process instructions, standards, and purchasing information for an art project involving creating a virtual reality operation simulation using a cardboard box, modeling clay, paper templates, and basic electronics. Students will watch an educational video, make "bones" out of modeling clay, assemble a human body template and circuit inside a cardboard box, and test their virtual reality model while completing a reflection. Materials needed per student include a small cardboard box, LED light, brad fasteners, wire, battery, and tape.

All of the materials can be purchased via Amazon or a small
electronics shops. Amazon sells kits of 300 LED for under
$15. Amazon sells 100 cardboard jewelry boxes for under
$25. Amazon sells 100 3-volt button batteries for under $25.
The other items are relatively inexpensive, and might even
be an unused resource at your school!
