This document outlines a series of 3D art projects for students to practice design principles through hands-on activities. Over five class periods, students will: 1) Create a 3D paper sculpture to understand transforming 2D to 3D; 2) Sculpt vegetables to engage with natural materials; 3) Collaborate on repetitive gesture photos exploring design elements; and 4) Brainstorm solutions to problems through imaginary product designs. Students will present their works critically discussing process, examination, and problem solving. The goal is for students to gain experience applying design concepts.
