GOUIN ACHIEVES BOARD CERTIFICATION IN MEDICAL PRACTICE MANAGEMENT
Raleigh, NC, 5/5/2016 — Bryan J. Gouin, MBA, CHM, CMPE, Director of Clinical Operations and
Business Development at IPC Healthcare, Inc. has earned the professional designation of Certified
Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) by the American College of Medical Practice Executives, the
certification entity of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA)
The designation of CMPE demonstrates that Mr. Gouin has achieved board certification in medical
practice management. Through industry-leading board certification and Fellowship programs,
ACMPE certifies an individual’s professional competence when s/he passes rigorous essay and
objective examinations that assess knowledge of the broad scope of medical practice management
skills sets as outlined in the Body of Knowledge for Medical Practice Management. These include
business operations, financial management, human resource management, information management,
organizational governance, patient care systems, quality management and risk management. The
individual must also earn a minimum of 50 continuing education credit hours.
Mr. Gouin has been a strong advocate for post-acute care services throughout the south east. As a
instrumental part of North Carolina Elderly Psychiatric Services, PLLC he lead his practice to
becoming the leading post-acute care psychiatric group in the country providing mental health
services to over 450 rural facilities. Mr. Gouin’s passion and commitment to his providers,
community, and patients has been a true asset to our state. Mr. Gouin currently leads the operations
and business development efforts for the behavioral health division of IPC Healthcare, Mid-South
region.
