OBJECTIVES

 To know the relationship between home
 environment and academic and social development
 of the high school students of Jesus the Risen Savior
 School A.Y. 2011 – 2012

 To know the different types of home environment

 To know the effects of home environment to the
 academic development of the high school students of
 Jesus the Risen Savior School
OBJECTIVES
                
 To know if the home environment affects the social
  development of the selected high school students of
  Jesus the Risen Savior School
DEFINITION OF TERMS
                        
 Socioeconomic Status(SES)- family’s status

 Social Development- growth of an individual in
  interacting with other people

 Academic Development- academic growth and
  performance of the student

 Home Environment- the student’s atmosphere in
  their house.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
                             
 To know if the poor performance of the high school
  students in class and inadequacy in interacting with other
  people is rooted to their home environment

 It will enhance the academic performance of the student.

 It will boost the confidence of the student.

 It will remind the parents that they play a vital role in
  their child’s development.
METHODOLOGY, TOOL, AND
           RESPONDENTS
                         
Methodology

 The researcher used Descriptive Research thus it is
factual, accurate, and systematic.

Likert Scale was used in the questionnaire.
Research Topic: Relationship of Home Environment and the
  Social and Academic Development of the Selected High
    School Students of Jesus the Risen Savior School
                      A.Y. 2011-2012

7. I don't understand the lessons well.
III. Social Development
1. I can easily start a conversation.
2. I am not shy to interact with other people.
3. I am confident to speak in front of a lot of people.
4. I can recite confidently in class.
5.Whenever there's a problem in our family, I prefer to be alone.
6. My parents are the ones who select my friends.
7. My parents do not allow me to go out with my friends.
8. I prefer to go to my friends than to study during my free time.

CONCLUSION
              
 It has been shown that home environment affects the
  development of a child in his academics or in his
  social aspects. Thus, parents greatly influence their
  child’s development.
RECOMMENDATION
       
For the parents:
 Impart values
Spend quality time with your child.
Persuade them to study well in school.
Boost your child’s confidence through commending
them whenever they did something good.
RECOMMENDATION
        
For the school:
Serve as an instrument to strengthen the good qualities
that a student has.
Propose activities which involves their parents’
participation.

For the students:
Have an open relationship with your parents.
Actively participate in school activities
Recite in class
Time management

OBJECTIVES   To know the relationship between home environment and academic and social development of the high school students of Jesus the Risen Savior School A.Y. 2011 – 2012  To know the different types of home environment  To know the effects of home environment to the academic development of the high school students of Jesus the Risen Savior School

  • 4. DEFINITION OF TERMS   Socioeconomic Status(SES)- family’s status  Social Development- growth of an individual in interacting with other people  Academic Development- academic growth and performance of the student  Home Environment- the student’s atmosphere in their house.
  • 5. SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY   To know if the poor performance of the high school students in class and inadequacy in interacting with other people is rooted to their home environment  It will enhance the academic performance of the student.  It will boost the confidence of the student.  It will remind the parents that they play a vital role in their child’s development.
  • 6. METHODOLOGY, TOOL, AND RESPONDENTS  Methodology  The researcher used Descriptive Research thus it is factual, accurate, and systematic. Likert Scale was used in the questionnaire.

  • 16. CONCLUSION   It has been shown that home environment affects the development of a child in his academics or in his social aspects. Thus, parents greatly influence their child’s development.
  • 17. RECOMMENDATION  For the parents:  Impart values Spend quality time with your child. Persuade them to study well in school. Boost your child’s confidence through commending them whenever they did something good.
  • 18. RECOMMENDATION  For the school: Serve as an instrument to strengthen the good qualities that a student has. Propose activities which involves their parents’ participation. For the students: Have an open relationship with your parents. Actively participate in school activities Recite in class Time management
