1. 90 percent of the children in India don’t go for a college
degree.
According to the World bank , 32.7 % of the total population in India
falls below the international poverty line while 68.7% thrive
accepting on less than US$ 2
per day. How can this huge
mass of people can avail of the
opportunity to provide their
child getting access to the
college education? Though our
government
has
taken
initiatives to provide scholarships and other free facilities to BPL card
holders still there are many who are not aware of the process of
issuance of cards. So one must agree that poverty is a great issue
behind the education.
Besides, the existing politics in colleges leads to a number of
students giving a sudden full stop to their careers only after plus
two level.Is college a place for debut in politics that whether he or
she belongs to the ruling party or not? Students from remote places
are more often the victims of this naked custom prevailing in the
society.Moreover the standard of education in the graduate level is
getting worsening day by day .Teachers and professors are coming to
colleges just to fulfill their own commercial interests not actually
bothering what message the students will carry in the upcoming
future.Thus acadedmics is being politicized in our country.It seems
astonishing to point out that the total number of graduates who
remain unemployed every year is more than the same in China and
USA put
together.Rich people and industrialists like
Ambani,Tata,Mittal may extend their helping hands in collaboration
with the our govt to look for a healthy solution to root out the

another.Another thing I like to point out that the elected candidates
after voting
must be impartial regarding development and
economical issues .It is they who are enjoying the lions share of the
sanctioned funds from the central govts.According to Swamiji , “We
want that education by which character is formed,strength of mind
is increased,intellect is expanded, and by which one can stand on
one’s own feet.” Let us try to understand it.Women education is
parallely so important,though female feticide has reduced but there
are places where it is in vogue even today .Let us reach there today
and spread the message of Swamiji.
The Chandogya Upanishad tells the concept of the inner self through
the mouth of a father asking his son Svetaketu, “From that yonder
tree ( a banyan tree) bring a small seed”. He brought a small seed.
“Oh, break one.what do you find?” ‘Nothing’,said the boy.The
father smiled, “Don’t say ‘nothing’. Out of that ‘nothing’ the tree
has come to exist, the mighty tree exists in that ‘nothing’”. Again
“Education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man”
according to Swamiji.So it is inherent in everybody irrespective of
cast, creed and religion. In the plus two level,it must be taught to the
students that pleasure is not the only goal of life ,but knowledge.It is
misery that teaches more than happiness,it is poverty that teaches
more than wealth,it is blows that brought out their iner firemore
than praise.It is then only children will come in India for college
degree.
