Ms. Saundarya Rajesh
          Saundarya Rajesh, Founder - President of AVTAR Career
          Creators, has completed her Masters in Management from
          the Central University, Pondicherry and is a gold medallist
          in English Literature from the University of Madras. A
          Chevening Scholar 2005 from the University of Bradford,
          Saundarya has over 20 years of work experience, which
          began with her tenure at Citibank in 1990. She has
          subsequently worked full-time and flexi-time in
          assignments in management education, consulting and
          counseling, each adding a different dimension to her
          personality.

           Saundarya moved into talent strategy consulting, by
           founding AVTAR Career Creators in 2000 and AVTAR I-
           WIN (Interim Women manager's Interface Network) in
           2005. AVTAR Career Creators is among the very first
           consulting firms to be awarded the ISO 9001:2000 for high
           quality systems and processes in human capital search and
           selection. AVTAR I-WIN is India's first National registry
           for flexi-working women professionals - an endeavour
           which engages with both individuals and corporates to
           create work-life integrated careers. Saundarya's passion for
           creating more flexi-time career opportunities for women has
           resulted in pioneering work done by AVTAR in this area,

           Saundarya is one of India's leading SME's on Diversity &
           Inclusion. She leads the many research projects undertaken
           by AVTAR in the area of women's careers and gender
           studies. She writes frequently for business dailies on
           women's careers and is often quoted in relation to data on
           women's employment in this country. Saundarya has
addressed many forums such as the Diversity & Inclusion
Asia conference 2008 at HongKong, the Human Resource
Conference by the University of Beijing 2007, the
Confederation of Indian Industries, the Madras
Management Association as well as a large number of
colleges and schools. She has been invited as a Speaker at
the world's largest HR Conference, the SHRM Annual
Conference at San Diego, California to speak on "Flexible
Working Methods to Promote Organizational Diversity - the
India                                               story"

Saundarya is currently pursuing her Ph.D in Flexi-working
and has several cutting-edge psychometric assessment
instruments to her credit. She loves spending time with
young children, and is a regular facilitator at many out-
reach programs aimed at students and adoloscents. She is
also the Founder-Trustee of the AVTAR Human Capital
Trust - a registered Not-For-Profit which powers many of
the activities in women's development undertaken by
AVTAR. Saundarya has been awarded the SCOPE Woman
Exemplar (2006) award, the Yuvashakthi Entrepreneur of
the Year Award (2007), the Swadeshi Jagran Manch
Women Leader Award (2008), CavinKare's Chinnikrishnan
Innovation Award for Outstanding Entrepreneurship 2011,
TiE Stree Shakti Award 2011 and India Today's Business
Wizards of Tamilnadu 2011.
Mr. K. Umasanker
         Umasanker Kandaswamy, Sr. Vice President & Chief -
         Client Services at AVTAR Career Creators holds a Masters
         in Public Administration from the University of Madras and
         an AMIE. With 14 years of experience in Recruitment
         Consulting, Umasanker is a prolific headhunter, with over
         800 closures in his career, comprising of top management,
         senior management and reporting-to-board positions. One
         of the founder members of AVTAR and also the senior
         most member in the team, Umasanker has spearheaded
         large mandate recruitment projects for a variety of
         industries. Sourcing of any kind comes naturally to
         Umasanker - he manages IT sourcing with as much of
         versatility as Non-IT. Every year, Umasanker has as a
         personal goal, the training in vocational and soft skills of
         underprivileged children - this forms part of AVTAR's on-
         going CSR initiatives. His passion for people is equalled
         only by his passion for music and cricket - Umasanker is a
         great singer and is a fast bowler.
Ms. Lakshmi Radhakrishnan
          Lakshmi, Head - Consumer Practice and Interim Careers is
          a B.Sc.(Comp Sci) and an MCA from the University of
          Madras. She has over a decade of experience in the
          Recruitment Industry. Having worked in this industry
          during its early slog years, Lakshmi was one of the first
          few professionals to work extensively in Turn-Key
          recruitment processes. She has anchored several bulk
          recruitment efforts for industries as varied as Banking,
          Telecom, FMCG , Shipping ,Insurance and Engineering.
          Being a founder member of AVTAR, Lakshmi has hired
          large numbers of professionals for these industries, ranging
          from 50 - 350 hires, in a single mandate long before the
          days of BPO mass-hiring. She has a matrix specialization
          and works on the vertical of Banking and the horizontal of
          Product & Brand Management. She currently heads
          AVTAR's BFSI business across Chennai and Bangalore.
          One more feather to Lakshmi's cap is the fact that she was
          part of the pioneering team which created India's first Flexi
          Career service for women, AVTAR I-WIN. Lakshmi is
          AVTAR's point-person for I-WIN and manages
          relationships with I-WIN corporates. A passionate
          Chennaiite, Lakshmi is fun-loving, music-minded, and
          loves travelling and dancing.
Mr. Karthik Ekambaram
          Karthik Ekambaram, heads the Diversity Practice for
          AVTAR. Karthik is an MBA with 14 years of
          experience in business analysis and consulting.
          Starting his career in IT business consulting, Karthik
          moved into HR consulting handling recruitment for a
          number of IT companies. With a strong 8 years of
          experience in Software Development, Project
          Management,        Business      Analysis,     Business
          Development and Account Management, Karthik
          currently manages IT Recruitment for leading IT ,
          ITES and IT user companies. Karthik's speciality is
          that he has managed all kinds of IT positions in
          varied technologies, such as Client server and web
          applications,      ERP       applications,     Database
          applications, Infrastructure Management Services,
          Business Analyst and Domain Consultants. Karthik is
          equally well-versed in managing junior, middle and
          senior level positions - he has closed several hundreds
          of positions for Software Engineers, Project lead /
          Managers, Program Managers, Delivery Managers,
          Practice Managers and Vice-Presidents. A deep and
          abiding interest in business consulting has prompted
          him into look at Diversity & Inclusion as a business
          driver for organizations by employing it as a talent,
          CSR and business strategy tool. He has carried out
          Job Analysis, Time and Motion studies at several
          client sites for the purpose of Flexidizing and
          Unbundling of jobs to create flexi-career tracks in

animal, Karthik is the soul of any get-together. He
captains one of AVTAR's cricket teams and loves
travelling.
Mr. Eswar Balasubramanian
          Eswar is a Management Post Graduate in
          Finance & HR from Anna University,
          with over 4 years of work experience.
          With well-honed expertise in industries
          like     Banking,    Financial     Services,
          Insurance, KPO's, BPO's and Power &
          Energy Sectors, Eswar currently manages
          AVTAR's Bangalore            Branch.     His
          speciality is that he has managed a range
          of Banking & ITES related positions in
          varied levels and has closed some
          exclusive assignments for key banking
          accounts in Business Intelligence - a rare
          and much sought after skill, consecutively,
          for the past three years. Eswar is equally
          well-versed in managing junior, middle
          and senior level positions - he has placed
          some critical positions like Head of Anti
          Money Laundering Operations, Head of
          Financial Operations, Senior Manager-
          Retail Credit and Unit Head- CMS
          Operations. for some of his top notch
          clients. Eswar plays chess, is a Tablist and
          loves to sing bajans. His favorite hobby is
          to spend time with children, offer free
          coaching classes for the needy and indulge
          in community service.
Mr. Roy Vijayakumar
        Roy is a Public Administration Graduate from University of
        Madras, he finished his schooling in Pondicherry. Coming
        from a background of IT, Roy joined AVTAR as a trainee
        consultant and has now grown to lead a 10 member team.
        With close to a decade of experience in recruitment, Roy is a
        dedicated head-hunter, often working shoulder-to-shoulder
        with his teammates and challenging them to close the search
        before he does! The IT/ITES/BPO industry is naturally his
        first love, but Roy is proud of the fact that he does not have
        any boundaries with regard to managing a search. Identifying
        the right candidate for the mandate and ensuring that the
        search is closed successfully is Roy’s biggest thrill.
        Constantly on the look-out for knowledge in new industries
        and verticals, Roy loves an engaging search. Turn-key
        projects from clients for large mandate recruitment are a
        favorite of his. He takes pride in placing candidates across
        levels and many of his closures are in positions such as
        Director, VP, AVP and in middle management levels too in
        functions such as IT Software, ITES – Operations, Finance
        & Accounts, Sales & Marketing, HR, Banking Operations,
        BPO,       Supply     Chain    Management,        Engineering,
        Infrastructure, Manufacturing, etc. Having closed several
        global positions, Roy’s Linked-In list reads like a who’s-who

        Roy is married and a proud father of a baby daughter. His
        most loved hobby is playing cricket and he is an avid
gymmer, working out at least thrice a week to maintain his
physique. He is Captain of the AVTAR cricket team and rain
or shine, every weekend, the beach on east coast road will
find him and his team playing an involved cricket match.
Mr. D.Vijayakumar
         Vijayakumar is an MBA in HR from University of
         Pondicherry and one of the earliest selects in AVTAR’s
         Recruitment Process Trainee program(batch of 2001).
         Having literally grown up the ranks, it was a proud moment
         for all at AVTAR when Viji (as he is fondly called by his
         friends) took over the mantle of branch head at Coimbatore
         when AVTAR opened its office there in 2008. With more
         than 10 years in managing every facet of recruitment – be in
         the diligent back-end operations or focused high-end search
         or hands-on client management, Viji is the ultimate people’s
         person. He has proved time and again his expertise in his
         forte – the Manufacturing Domain and has several key
         closures to his credit in companies both in India and abroad.
         Moving back to Chennai to develop the manufacturing
         vertical for AVTAR, Viji ensures that his team members are
         experts in the nuts-and-bolts of recruitment. Allied
         industries such as Engineering, Chemical, Pharma and
         Electronics manufacturing companies are also part of his
         clientele. Viji is often called upon to add his thoughts to the
         strategic initiatives of AVTAR, since he is a great lateral
         thinker and a very creative person. He loves mentoring the
         on-going batches of RPT’s at AVTAR and is looked upon
         as a sort of big brother to every new RPT. A very friendly
         and approachable boss, his team at Coimbatore still looks
         upon him as a de-facto guru! A long term person, Viji
         believes that success is surely waiting at the end of the
         journey for the person who works hard and in a dedicated
         manner.

         Viji is married and loves travelling with his wife. What he
         also loves is driving his racer bike to touch the dash board
         needle to other end! He loves playing Cricket and part of
         AVTAR cricket team.

Ms. Saundarya Rajesh Saundarya Rajesh, Founder - President of AVTAR Career Creators, has completed her Masters in Management from the Central University, Pondicherry and is a gold medallist in English Literature from the University of Madras. A Chevening Scholar 2005 from the University of Bradford, Saundarya has over 20 years of work experience, which began with her tenure at Citibank in 1990. She has subsequently worked full-time and flexi-time in assignments in management education, consulting and counseling, each adding a different dimension to her personality. Saundarya moved into talent strategy consulting, by founding AVTAR Career Creators in 2000 and AVTAR I- WIN (Interim Women manager's Interface Network) in 2005. AVTAR Career Creators is among the very first consulting firms to be awarded the ISO 9001:2000 for high quality systems and processes in human capital search and selection.   • 6. Mr. K. Umasanker Umasanker Kandaswamy, Sr. Vice President & Chief - Client Services at AVTAR Career Creators holds a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Madras and an AMIE. With 14 years of experience in Recruitment Consulting, Umasanker is a prolific headhunter, with over 800 closures in his career, comprising of top management, senior management and reporting-to-board positions. One of the founder members of AVTAR and also the senior most member in the team, Umasanker has spearheaded large mandate recruitment projects for a variety of industries. Sourcing of any kind comes naturally to Umasanker - he manages IT sourcing with as much of versatility as Non-IT. Every year, Umasanker has as a personal goal, the training in vocational and soft skills of underprivileged children - this forms part of AVTAR's on- going CSR initiatives. His passion for people is equalled only by his passion for music and cricket - Umasanker is a great singer and is a fast bowler.
  • 7. Ms. Lakshmi Radhakrishnan Lakshmi, Head - Consumer Practice and Interim Careers is a B.Sc.(Comp Sci) and an MCA from the University of Madras. She has over a decade of experience in the Recruitment Industry. Having worked in this industry during its early slog years, Lakshmi was one of the first few professionals to work extensively in Turn-Key recruitment processes. She has anchored several bulk recruitment efforts for industries as varied as Banking, Telecom, FMCG , Shipping ,Insurance and Engineering. Being a founder member of AVTAR, Lakshmi has hired large numbers of professionals for these industries, ranging from 50 - 350 hires, in a single mandate long before the days of BPO mass-hiring. She has a matrix specialization and works on the vertical of Banking and the horizontal of Product & Brand Management. She currently heads AVTAR's BFSI business across Chennai and Bangalore. One more feather to Lakshmi's cap is the fact that she was part of the pioneering team which created India's first Flexi Career service for women, AVTAR I-WIN. Lakshmi is AVTAR's point-person for I-WIN and manages relationships with I-WIN corporates. A passionate Chennaiite, Lakshmi is fun-loving, music-minded, and loves travelling and dancing.
  • 8. Mr. Karthik Ekambaram Karthik Ekambaram, heads the Diversity Practice for AVTAR. Karthik is an MBA with 14 years of experience in business analysis and consulting. Starting his career in IT business consulting, Karthik moved into HR consulting handling recruitment for a number of IT companies. With a strong 8 years of experience in Software Development, Project Management, Business Analysis, Business Development and Account Management, Karthik currently manages IT Recruitment for leading IT , ITES and IT user companies. Karthik's speciality is that he has managed all kinds of IT positions in varied technologies, such as Client server and web applications, ERP applications, Database applications, Infrastructure Management Services, Business Analyst and Domain Consultants. Karthik is equally well-versed in managing junior, middle and senior level positions - he has closed several hundreds of positions for Software Engineers, Project lead / Managers, Program Managers, Delivery Managers, Practice Managers and Vice-Presidents.   • 10. Mr. Eswar Balasubramanian Eswar is a Management Post Graduate in Finance & HR from Anna University, with over 4 years of work experience. With well-honed expertise in industries like Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, KPO's, BPO's and Power & Energy Sectors, Eswar currently manages AVTAR's Bangalore Branch. His speciality is that he has managed a range of Banking & ITES related positions in varied levels and has closed some exclusive assignments for key banking accounts in Business Intelligence - a rare and much sought after skill, consecutively, for the past three years. Eswar is equally well-versed in managing junior, middle and senior level positions - he has placed some critical positions like Head of Anti Money Laundering Operations, Head of Financial Operations, Senior Manager- Retail Credit and Unit Head- CMS Operations. for some of his top notch clients. Eswar plays chess, is a Tablist and loves to sing bajans. His favorite hobby is to spend time with children, offer free coaching classes for the needy and indulge in community service.
  • 11. Mr. Roy Vijayakumar Roy is a Public Administration Graduate from University of Madras, he finished his schooling in Pondicherry. Coming from a background of IT, Roy joined AVTAR as a trainee consultant and has now grown to lead a 10 member team. With close to a decade of experience in recruitment, Roy is a dedicated head-hunter, often working shoulder-to-shoulder with his teammates and challenging them to close the search before he does! The IT/ITES/BPO industry is naturally his first love, but Roy is proud of the fact that he does not have any boundaries with regard to managing a search.   • 13. Mr. D.Vijayakumar Vijayakumar is an MBA in HR from University of Pondicherry and one of the earliest selects in AVTAR’s Recruitment Process Trainee program(batch of 2001). Having literally grown up the ranks, it was a proud moment for all at AVTAR when Viji (as he is fondly called by his friends) took over the mantle of branch head at Coimbatore when AVTAR opened its office there in 2008. With more than 10 years in managing every facet of recruitment – be in the diligent back-end operations or focused high-end search or hands-on client management, Viji is the ultimate people’s person. He has proved time and again his expertise in his forte – the Manufacturing Domain and has several key closures to his credit in companies both in India and abroad. Moving back to Chennai to develop the manufacturing vertical for AVTAR, Viji ensures that his team members are experts in the nuts-and-bolts of recruitment. Allied industries such as Engineering, Chemical, Pharma and Electronics manufacturing companies are also part of his clientele. Viji is often called upon to add his thoughts to the strategic initiatives of AVTAR, since he is a great lateral thinker and a very creative person.
