2. Overview
• Introduce the students to the food
pyramid, new food vocabulary, different
actions that may occur while cooking and
the format of food recipes.
• At the end of the activity, students were
familiar with these new concepts and
asked to be creative and write and present
their own recipes in groups.

3. Methodology
• Class one: Introduction to new (food and kitchen)
vocabulary with a visual presentation.
• Class two: Worksheets to practice new vocabulary and
recipe structure.
• Class three: “Magic Box” game to practice vocabulary.
• Class four: Listening and Comprehension exercises
using “Recipe Video” and corresponding worksheets.
• Class five: Group brainstorming session to create
personal recipes.
• Class six: Presentation of groups’ recipes.
• Class seven: Making a class recipe book!
