Over five lakh accidents take place in the country annually, out of which, 41% (Approx. 2 Lakh) are due to road mishaps during night, and 18% (Approx. 90,000) are due to the vehicle headlight glare.
This project is targeted to facilitate such buyers so that they also can follow the protocol of Road Safety. Currently there is no provision for switching the headlight beam of the vehicle, automatically in mid-range vehicles.Operated by the Synergy of a Microcontroller and a Sensor, this device is capable of automatically shifting the Upper beam of the vehicle coming from the opposite direction, to the dipper beam, thus eradicating the problem of vision loss and avoiding accidents due to it. This project addresses the solution to the problems stated above by controlling the brightness of headlights using vehicle speed. The Other objective of this project is to develop a system to keep the vehicle secure and protect it by the occupation of the intruders. This technology even better in the future.

Nowadays, human has become too busy and he is unable to find time even to switch the lights wherever not necessary. This can be seen more effectively in the case of street lights. The present system is like, the street lights will be switched on in the evening before the sun sets and they are switched off the next day morning after there is sufficient light on the roads. But the actual timings for these street lights to be switched on are when there is absolute darkness. With this, the power will be wasted up to some extent. This project gives the best solution for electrical power wastage. Also the manual operation of the lighting system is completely eliminated.
In our project we are using LDR, which varies according to the amount of light falling on its surface, this give an indication for us whether it is a day/night time. In the present project street lights are taken into consideration where the above discussed factors are rectified in them. This is achieved with the help of an embedded system. By using this as the basic principle we can design centralized intelligent system for the perfect usage of streetlights in any place (Village, Town) can be developed.
The document describes an automatic collision control system created by students to prevent railway accidents. The system uses an Arduino Uno microcontroller and ultrasonic sensor to detect obstacles on the tracks. When an obstacle is detected within 20cm, an alarm is activated to alert passengers. If an obstacle is within 10cm, the train engine will shut off to prevent a collision. When the tracks are clear again, the train will restart automatically. The system is intended to significantly reduce the number of railway accidents and loss of life in India each year.
After using the gas cylinder for a while, we
never know when the cylinder might run out of
gas. And also the leakage of gas and fire have
always been a matter of concern for many.
We therefore intended to provide a solution by
constructing a "Smart Gas Cylinder Trolley"
that has the capability of monitoring the weight
and leakage of gas and provide the visual or
auditory information to the user
