This document discusses on-demand mounting in Solaris using autofs. It describes the master and direct maps used by autofs to automatically mount filesystems. It provides examples of the /etc/auto_master and /etc/auto_direct maps. It also explains how to start and stop the autofs service and configure server-side sharing and client-side mounting of those shares.
