Cynthia Jordan is a musician and author who has had success in multiple genres. She began her career as a songwriter in 1983 and had the number one country song that year. She studied classical piano for 12 years and founded an organization for children's music. She later moved to Nashville and released 11 albums of ambient piano music. Her music is now broadcast worldwide. She wrote an autobiography and two historical novels based on her research of the history of San Angelo, Texas, where she discovered the city had origins as a town centered around serving a fort with saloons and brothels. Her novels tell the stories of women from that time period.
